Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves features a classic arcade mode and a new mode called Episodes of South Town. The first has players play through a ladder of enemies before getting a unique ending story and “boss” experience. There are also 5 options to choose from when deciding their opponents difficulty ssettings for the run.
Episodes of South Town, on the other hand, puts players on a map with plenty of different markers. This mode will have players choosing the fights they want, leveling up, unlocking new skills, and having a unique story for the character they choose. This mode starts off easy and really puts players' skills to the test by its end.
Episodes of South Town also has a New Game+ style mode once it has been completed.
Who Are The New Characters in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves?
It has been far too long since fans of Fatal Fury have gotten a new entry in the franchise, with the last being released in 1999. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves brings many familiar faces, as well as some new ones, and faces from other fighting games. SNK has released numerous fighting games, including Real Bout and The King of Fighters. In fact, the original Fatal Fury was called Fatal Fury: King of Fighters before everything branched off.
The game features two completely new characters called Preecha and Vox Reaper, who are both available for the default roster of characters. The game also features an upcoming new character called Mr. Big. A big pull of this entry is that Kain R. Heinlein, a character who was a non-playable final-boss for Garou: Mark of the Wolves, is now a regularly playable character for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Another character that comes from this title is is Hokutomaru.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves also has some guest characters making their debut in the franchise. This includes both Ken Masters and Chun-Li from Street Fighter as well as 2 real-life celebrities. These celebrity guest characters include the football icon Cristiano Ronaldo and Bosnian-Swedish DJ and record producer Salvatore Ganacci.
