Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves has revealed all of the characters coming to the 2D fighting game in its Season 1 Pass. The five characters coming to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves through the season pass all got their start in different fighting game franchises and will be added to the roster individually over the course of the next year or so.
The first all-new Fatal Fury game in 26 years, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is set for release on April 24, 2025, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Although its predecessor, 1999's Garou: Mark of the Wolves, featured a roster made up of mostly entirely new fighters, City of the Wolves will feature many familiar faces from popular SNK fighting games of the past as well as a few crossovers.
Street Fighter 6 Fans Should Keep Tabs on Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves
Street Fighter 6 released crossover characters as DLC, and fans should keep an eye on Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves' attempt to return the favor.
Fans who have been following the game's progress may already know that City of the Wolves will feature Street Fighter characters Chun-Li and Ken Masters, and a new trailer revealing the Season 1 characters shows that both of these Capcom-based World Warriors will be part of that additional content. Ken will be one of the first characters added to the game through its first season pass, and while none of the characters have a firm launch date yet, he is expected to be added sometime over the summer of 2025. Chun-Li will be joining much later in the year, coming this winter, but she is expected to be added before the end of 2025.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Season Pass 1 Characters
- Andy Bogard - Summer 2025
- Ken Masters - Summer 2025
- Joe Higashi - Fall 2025
- Chun-Li - Winter 2025
- Mr. Big - Early 2026
Even with the addition of Street Fighter characters to the roster of playable characters in City of the Wolves, SNK will still have plenty of self-representation with the Season 1 releases. Andy Bogard, brother of series mascot Terry Bogard, is the first character listed as coming to the game and will likely arrive before Ken this summer. Additionally, long-time Fatal Fury alum Joe Higashi will be added in the fall. Lastly, while not a character who traces his origins back to the Fatal Fury franchise, Mr. Big is a boss from the Art of Fighting series, which is also under the SNK banner, and he will be joining the roster in early 2026.
In addition to the Season Pass characters, the developers also recently revealed the regular roster addition of Kain R. Heinlein, the special final boss of the last game who would only appear if a player maintained a AAA-ranking win average in every other fight. The upcoming game's official website revealed on February 15 that Kain will be in the sequel to Garou: Mark of the Wolves, but this time as a playable character.
