Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy 14 will air the 88th episode of Letter from the Producer LIVE on Thursday, July 24, which will cover more details about Patch 7.3, The Promise of Tomorrow. The next major update for Final Fantasy 14 will include the finale of Dawntrail's main story arc, the next chapter of the Echoes of Vana'diel alliance raid series, and other features.
The next Live Letter will take place just under five weeks after the 87th episode, which revealed some initial details about Final Fantasy 14's 7.3 update. The first half of the 87th live letter was spent addressing FF14 player feedback concerning the Occult Crescent field operation and Cosmic Exploration. As a result, changes to how the Forked Tower: Blood raid is accessed will be made in Patch 7.3, along with some adjustments that have since been implemented. Cosmic Exploration will also see some quality-of-life updates, including access to mounts and a retainer bell.

According to the Lodestone, Final Fantasy 14 will air the 88th Letter from the Producer LIVE on Thursday, July 24, starting at 6:00 AM Eastern, on the game's official Twitch and YouTube channels. Final Fantasy 14's 88th Live Letter will be hosted by game producer and director Naoki Yoshida, who will cover additional information about Patch 7.3's main features.

Given the timing of past Live Letter broadcasts compared to the launch of major content updates, Final Fantasy 14 Patch 7.3 will likely go live on Tuesday, August 5, barring any last-minute changes. Although Yoshida stated in the previous Live Letter that some details about Patch 7.3's main story quests would remain hidden due to spoilers, he confirmed that The Promise of Tomorrow is Dawntrail' s climactic story patch.
Some of the headline features of the 7.3 update include the next alliance raid in the Echoes of Vana'diel crossover saga with Final Fantasy 11, titled San d'Oria: The Second Walk. The long-awaited addition of hats for Viera and Hrothgar player characters will also be included in Final Fantasy 14 Patch 7.3. Additional details about a major housing update planned for Patch 7.3 will also be discussed during the broadcast.
With the 7.3 update coming the first week of August, Final Fantasy 14 players will have just a few weeks to participate in the ongoing Moogle Treasure Trove event. Only time will tell what else Square Enix will reveal in the upcoming Live Letter broadcast.
