However, tea is also one of Fields of Mistria's best crops as a potent cooking ingredient that's fantastic for making recipes with some of the best stamina stats. While there are many cups of tea recipes and consumables you can buy, you'll probably only come across tea as a crop in Valen's Request for Tea quest, who wants some to restock his dwindling supplies.

Tea is also a profitable crop with various uses in Fields of Mistria, so it's one worth taking the time to grow. However, there are a few things to do before you can get tea in Fields of Mistria, including completing several story quests. It's also only possible to get hold of tea leaves during one particular season.
How To Get Tea In Fields Of Mistria (Request For Tea Quest)
To get tea in Fields of Mistria, you must buy and grow bags of tea seeds from the General Store. However, you must first upgrade the General store in Fields of Mistria's Repair the General Store quest, which becomes available after completing the following quests:
- The Mill Restoration Project
- Beautification Project
To upgrade the General Store, you need:
- x5 Copper Ingot
- x5 Iron Ingot
- x500 Stone
- x300 Wood
- 3,000 Tesserae
Once upgraded, you can buy bags of tea seeds from the General Store for 300 Tesserae each. This might sound pricey, but tea is a summer crop that re-grows once harvested every three days once it reaches maturity, making it a solid investment.
It takes five days for tea leaves to fully mature into a tea plant you can harvest in Fields of Mistria. Therefore, it's worth upgrading the General Store to get tea as soon as possible during the summer. It might also be possible to buy tea from Balor's cart when it shows up in stock.
What Is Tea For In Fields Of Mistria?
Once you've harvested at least one tea in Fields of Mistria, you can return to Valen to turn in the Request for Tea quest for a decent reward of 270 Tesserae. However, tea also has several other uses in Fields of Mistria, as detailed below:
- You can sell tea you've grown for 135 Tesserae each, making it a profitable crop to make money.
- You can use tea to make various recipes when cooking in Fields of Mistria like Roasted Rice Tea. Growing and harvesting tea enables you to cook recipes great for restoring health and stamina when consumed, like Tea with Lemon and Green Tea, which is ideal for exploring the Mines.
- You can also make tea recipes as gifts for NPCs, many appreciating its delights.
You can find and buy other tea recipes from events like Fields of Mistria's Spring Festival and the Saturday Market, such as Floral Tea and Rose Tea from Maple's stall at the Spring Festival, plus Jasmine Tea and more from Darcy's Saturday Market shop. You can also get tea as a reward by completing certain quests, such as the Tea with Hayden quest, which gives you Tea with Lemon as a reward. Balor's cart also sometimes stocks cups of tea to purchase.
