Striped Bass Location in Fields of Mistria

Fishing is one of many gameplay mechanics in Fields of Mistria, and like it or not, you'll need to fish in order to complete the Museum. There are three categories for fishing: Pond, river, and ocean. However, not every fish is available to catch year round. The fish you need for Mistria's Museum are all seasonal fish. One of these is the fall-exclusive Striped Bass. Not only does it only swim out in fall, you can only catch it in specific areas.

Fields of Mistria: How to Catch Striped Bass

Pond Fishing

Striped Bass can be found in ponds during the fall in any weather. They'll appear as large shadows in the water. There are ponds in the southern half of The Eastern Road, but there's also one to the left of the manor in Mistria. It's a common fish, too, meaning if you choose to fish in the ponds on the Eastern Road, you're likely to catch a handful.

You don't need to be at a certain level to hook a Striped Bass, but you may consider unlocking these perks at Caldarus' statue:

Weedline Watcher (lvl 1): Fishing up junk will become less likely.
Appealing Reeling (lvl 1): Fish will become attracted to your Bobber from a greater range.

It may also help if you have a better fishing rod than the Worn Fishing Rod. Stronger rods allow you to cast your line further out into the water.

Where to Use Striped Bass

Can You Cook It?

On Fall 3, you can check the Request Board to get the "Request for a Striped Bass" task from Eiland. Completing it will give you 450 Tesserae and some Renown. You'll also need a Striped Bass to complete the Fall Pond bundle for the Fishing Wing in the Museum. While Striped Bass can be given as Gifts, it's not recommended since they don't appear to be Liked/Loved by anyone in Mistria.

Currently, there are no cooking recipes that require a Striped Bass. Thus, it's better to sell it if you've already donated one to the Museum or completed "Request for a Striped Bass." Unfortunately, there's not much you can do with Striped Bass other than sell it (40 Tesserae).
