Reputable leaker Midori, who has accurately leaked news about Atlus and Persona in the past, recently addressed the possibility of a Final Fantasy 10 remake. A Twitter user asked Midori about Square Enix remakes that may be in the works, with Midori stating that while the company is developing remakes, Final Fantasy 10 is not one of them.

Midori was also asked about the long-rumored Final Fantasy 9 remake. A Final Fantasy 9 remake was leaked in the infamous Nvidia leak from a few years ago, but the project still has yet to be officially announced. According to Midori, though, the Final Fantasy 9 remake is indeed real. Considering how long fans have been waiting to learn more about the game, hopefully, the wait for an official Final Fantasy 9 remake reveal is nearly at an end.

While some Final Fantasy fans will be satisfied with the Final Fantasy 9 remake, others will be disappointed that the FF10 remake apparently doesn't exist. However, it's worth pointing out that a different leaker with a solid reputation previously claimed that a Final Fantasy 10 remake is in development, so fans should take all claims about the hypothetical game with a massive grain of salt. According to the previous leaks about the rumored project, the Final Fantasy 10 remake team was a small one, and the game would be out sometime after 2026. Leakers have also claimed that a Final Fantasy 10-3 game may be in development as well, but nothing official regarding Final Fantasy 10 has been announced at the time of this writing.
