How To Unlock Modern Aesthetics Form And Function In FF14
There is only one activity in-game at present that allows players to unlock the Form and Function hairstyle. To get it directly, it is necessary to venture into one of Final Fantasy 14's field operations, but not any of them will do. This is a reward found specifically as part of progressing through Eureka, the field option added to the game during Stormblood (not to be confused with the Eureka Orthos deep dungeon, added to FF14 in Endwalker).
Called The Forbidden Land, Eureka, this content has four areas through which the player progresses in order. The first is The Forbidden Land, Eureka Anemos, which, after completed, is followed by The Forbidden Land, Eureka Hydatos. Players must complete both of those to reach The Forbidden Land, Eureka Pyros - as it's only there that the Form and Function hairstyle might be unlocked.
There are FATEs in-game unique to Eureka, as is the case with the "Bunny FATEs". These FATEs are popularly referred to that way because they involve saving Happy Bunnies from dangerous situations. After the Warrior of Light helps them, the little creatures will help the hero in turn by finding buried treasures. The rewards can be bronze, silver, or gold treasure coffers, granting the player different amounts of gil, materia with different levels, as well as other possible drops.
The Modern Aesthetics - Form and Function hairstyle can drop from the silver and gold treasure coffers players can get as a result of completing Bunny FATEs in Eureka Pyros. As a result, this is not an assured drop, and some players might have to complete several attempts before getting the item, while others might get it right away. The drop is entirely reliant on luck, so it can vary a lot. Currently, however, there is no other way to unlock this hairstyle.
How To Buy Modern Aesthetics Form And Function In FF14
There is an alternative for players who don't want to rely on luck and possibly spend a lot of time trying to get a single new hairstyle. The item that unlocks this new look is marketable, so those who get the drop from Eureka can sell it on the Market Board.
