Treasure Dungeons continue to be one of Final Fantasy 14's most popular types of content for the playerbase, as they can potentially lead to some of the best and most valuable rewards in the entire game. However, to get into the dungeons themselves, you first need to find and obtain their respective treasure maps.

One particular type of map in Final Fantasy 14 that players are clamoring for is the Timeworn Gargantuaskin Map. If you're itching to get into Vault Oneiron to win some rewards, here's how to get your hands on some maps.

How to Find Timeworn Gargantuaskin Maps in FF14

Timeworn Gargantuaskin Maps were added as part of Final Fantasy 14's Patch 7.3 (Promise of Tomorrow) content update, and to find them, you'll need to head to the final region of the Dawntrail expansion - Living Memory.

As with other Timeworn Treasure Maps in the game, you can gather Gargantuaskin Maps with a properly leveled and geared gathering class (i.e. Botanist, Miner, Fisher). Your preferred class needs to be Level 100 (Custom Deliveries and Allied Society questlines can help with leveling) and equipped with sufficient gear (preferably ilvl 720 or higher). Teleport to Hidden Memory (if you don't have this area unlocked, you'll need to do so via Dawntrail's Main Scenario Questline), and make sure to equip your chosen gathering class.

Timeworn Gargantuaskin Maps can be obtained from any Level 100 gathering node in Living Memory.

If you're on Botanist, you can find these nodes in the vicinity of the Leynode Aero Aetheryte (X:16.4, Y:13.3). Meanwhile, if you're on Miner, you can find gathering nodes in the vicinity of the Leynode Pyro Aetheryte (X:35.1, Y:15.8).

Alternatively, you can also purchase Timeworn Gargantuaskin Maps from any local Market Board location in the game. However, depending on the demand versus supply, be aware that prices can fluctuate dramatically. So, be prepared to potentially spend some serious gil on these maps. Alternatively, if you'd prefer to just make some gil for yourself, you can gather and sell the maps as well.

How to Use Timeworn Gargantuaskin Maps in FF14

Timeworn Gargantuaskin Maps function similarly to other Timeworn Maps in the game. Bear in mind that you must have a combat class at Level 100 in order to use Gargantuaskin Maps and participate in its respective Treasure Dungeon (Vault Oneiron). Having a full party to handle mob and boss encounters is preferred as well.

Once the map is in your inventory, highlight it and select 'Decipher.' This will reveal the general location of where to find your map's treasure (and hopefully a portal) in a given region. In the case of Gargantuaskin Maps, their locations will always be found in Living Memory. Use the visual hint you're given to find your map's location and travel to it.

Once there, use the 'Dig' action (found on the bottom row of the 'General' tab of your 'Actions & Traits' menu) in order to spawn your map's treasure chest. Open it, and a few waves of random enemy mobs will spawn, which you need to eliminate. Once all creatures are felled, open your chest to receive a random assortment of treasure and potentially a portal that leads into the Vault Oneiron treasure dungeon.

If you get lucky with a portal, interact with it to head into the treasure dungeon—and best of luck with your rewards!
