On September 19, Final Fantasy 14 unveiled some rewards from the upcoming crossover with Monster Hunter Wilds, including a mount, minions, and cosmetic glamour pieces. Final Fantasy 14 will begin its part of the Monster Hunter Wilds crossover event in early October, presumably with the launch of Patch 7.35.
During Gamescom Opening Night Live in August, Capcom and Square Enix gave fans the first look at the upcoming crossover between Final Fantasy 14 and Monster Hunter Wilds. The collaboration will be the second time FF14 has worked alongside the Monster Hunter franchise, following the Monster Hunter World crossover during FF14's Stormblood expansion. Final Fantasy 14's second Monster Hunter team-up will pit the Warriors of Light against Guardian Arkveld in an eight-player trial. The trial, dubbed The Windward Wilds, can be challenged on Normal and Extreme difficulty settings.
Final Fantasy 14 Expansion Tier List
Although Final Fantasy 14 has significantly changed since its disastrous 1.0 launch, some expansions have fared better than others.
Final Fantasy 14 x Monster Hunter Wilds Crossover Event Rewards (as of September 19, 2025)
- Hope Armor Set
- Guardian Arkveld (G Veldian) Weapons
- Seikret Mount
- Seikret Hatchling and Scoutfly Minions
- Campsite Outdoor Furnishings
As Monster Hunter Wilds players prepared to face the robotic Omega Planetes in late September, Final Fantasy 14 shared the rewards for its side of the crossover via the Lodestone. The starting armor set from Monster Hunter Wilds, the Hope set, will be a glamour for Final Fantasy 14 players to collect, which includes a cap that Viera player characters can wear. Weapons inspired by Monster Hunter Wilds' G Veldian sets will be one of the crossover's biggest prizes, though it is unclear if these weapons will be purely cosmetic or have practical use in high-end content. Along with a Seikret mount and Seikret Hatchling minion, players can also collect a Scoutfly minion and various outdoor furnishings based on Monster Hunter Wilds' campsites. More rewards were teased by Square Enix for the crossover, but kept under wraps as of this writing.
By comparison, the previous Monster Hunter World event with FF14 offered a Rathalos mount as one of the key rewards. The Rathalos mount can be acquired as a rare drop from The Great Hunt (Extreme) trial or by exchanging 50 Rathalos Scale Plus. Like the previous Monster Hunter World crossover event, the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds collab will be a permanent fixture in Final Fantasy 14. Ergo, FF14 players can take on Guardian Arkveld and earn all the rewards they want at their own pace.
The Monster Hunter Wilds crossover begins in Final Fantasy 14 in early October, likely alongside Patch 7.35. FF14's next content update will also include the Yok Huy crafting society quests and the next chapter in the fan-favorite Hildibrand quest chain. It remains to be seen what surprises the Monster Hunter Wilds collab holds in store for the Warriors of Light.
