Final Fantasy 14's summer event, the Moonfire Faire, is returning to the game, featuring new limited-time quests and cosmetic rewards for players to collect. The annual festival celebrates the Cascadiers, a group of adventurers secretly commissioned to combat the recurring appearance of fiery monsters known as Bombards. Transforming fear and dread of the creatures' arrival into joy and celebration for the festivities to come, the Faire continues to be hosted in spite of the Bombards' sporadic appearance in modern times.

Available to all players level 30 or higher, including players taking advantage of the game's generous free trial, the event runs from August 8 until August 26, 7:59 AM PST, after which, players will need to wait until next year's Moonfire Faire before the 2024 event's rewards will become available for purchase from the online Mogstation store. To avoid the wait, players will want to make their way over to the Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks before the event's end.

2024's Moonfire Faire can be started by accepting the quest "Fire Red, Beast Green" from Mayaru Moyaru in the Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks (X:11.5, Y:13.8). The quest will then take players to Haermaga at the event's hub in Costa Del Sol (X:36.1, Y:26.7), tasking them with seeking out a Terrified Tourist (X:35.1, Y:25.5), Sweaty Guest, Fallen Item (X:36.8, Y:26.4), and finally a Cavorting Cactuar (X:35.3, Y:27.3).

A follow-up event quest, "Festival Fan Frenzy", is available from Beaudefoin (X:35.3, Y:27.4), tasking players with capturing two Cavorting Cactuar (found at X:31.6, Y:30.0, and X:34.3, 32.0) using the newly obtained Uchiwasshoi emote, and returning them to P'obyano (X:35.3, Y:27.3). Once done, the quest can be completed at Haermaga (X:36.1, Y:26.7), rewarding players with the "Summer's Biggest Fan" achievement, worth 10 achievement points.

While the event includes two quests, the Uchiwasshoi emote reward is immediately rewarded after completing the first quest. Players only interested in the emote reward, such as those running the event on multiple alternate characters, can save themselves some time by completing only the first of the event quests.

Moonfire Faire 2024 Rewards

Completing the "Fire Red, Beast Green" quest will reward players with the new Uchiwasshoi emote, while the Bouncing Bomb Balloon furnishing item can be purchased for 5,000 gil from the Moonfire Faire Vendor in Costa Del Sol (X:36.2, Y:26.8). This vendor also sells a variety of consumable fireworks to produce colorful particle effects, including the Bombard Bloom, Pinwheel, tracers for each of the three Grand Companies, or sparklers for Limsa Lominsa, Ul'Dah, and Gridania. These items are typically restricted to limited-time events or random drops from locked boxes found in the various Deep Dungeons, making it a good idea to stock up on these consumables for those who frequently use them.
