Square Enix has released a Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo that is available to play today. After a couple of leaks, the demo was revealed at the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth State of Play on February 6, offering players a glimpse into the world of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth serves as a highly anticipated sequel to Final Fantasy 7 Remake: a modernized version of the classic 1997 RPG, featuring updated graphics, voice acting, and revamped gameplay. In this sequel, players will continue the epic journey of Cloud Strife and the eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE, along with other playable characters in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which have already been confirmed. The game promises to blend real-time action with strategic and role-playing elements.

The upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth shows off a helpful feature that is enhanced by the power of the PlayStation 5.

At the end of the January 31 State of Play broadcast, Sony confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth fans would have to wait until February 6 for more news. Sony stayed true to its promise and delivered a Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo announcement at the State of Play event on February 6. The Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo is available today and players can download it through the PlayStation Store.

What is Included in the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo?

According to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Creative Director Tetsuya Nomura, the demo will give players the opportunity to play as either Cloud or Sephiroth during the iconic Nibelheim flashback, unraveling the opening chapter of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's story. As they traverse the expansive world map, players will likely encounter moments of strategic decision-making. In addition, Nomura stated that a section of the Junon region would be added to the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo sometime leading up to the game's release.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has already showcased various elements in previous trailers, such as new boss fights, new creature additions, and new open-world regions full of activities waiting to be discovered by the player, including regions like The Gold Saucer, Grasslands, Junon, and Under Junon. In addition, a recent Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth leak has revealed that its download size is huge, reaching over 145GB in size. Alongside, players will get to experience an all-new storyline when they reach the Costa del Sol segment of the game, as revealed by Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth co-director Motomu Toriyama.

Hopefully, this demo will offer an exciting preview of what to expect from Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The release date for the full game is February 29, 2024, but in the meantime, players can have a glimpse of what is yet to come in the new demo.
