How to Get the Safety Bit in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
Players will be able to get the Safety Bit once they reach the Coal Mines section of Corel, in Chapter 7. There is a specific point in the mission through the mines where the party splits into two groups, with Cloud, Aerith, and Red XIII heading out to prepare a path for Barrett, Tifa, and Yuffie to ride a mine cart to meet back up with them. Just before the end of this section is where Cloud will have the opportunity to grab the Safety Bit from a regular chest.
Follow these steps to locate the Safety Bit:
- Players can collect the Safety Bit during their first time through the Coal Mines area, or they can return subsequently. Either way, the starting area will be just after exiting the cave that contains the Coal Mines fast-travel point. This will lead to the bench where Cloud takes a rest after the group splits.
- Once the raised bridge is lowered, Cloud will head southwest down a long stretch of track, eventually reaching an area where he must decide which way to switch the tracks. Regardless of what he chooses, the location of the Safety Bit will be just ahead.
- On the map, this area will look like a wishbone facing south. A small stretch of land will appear to link the tips of the wishbone shape. This is where the chest that contains the Safety Bit will be found.
- From the point where Cloud decides which way to switch the track, the track will split. Go left up the side that makes a steep incline. Near the top, Cloud will find a zipline he can use to reach a small strip of land. Use the zipline, then turn around as soon as he lands.
- Once Cloud turns around, a small shack should be visible. Inside the shack is a chest that contains the Safety Bit, one of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's best accessories.
