In a recent interview with Automaton, Naoki Hamaguchi revealed that the development of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 is “going extremely well” and that the game is “shaping up nicely.” While the developer did not confirm a release date, he said that “a lot of the content is already playable” and that the game’s art direction is “firmly set in place.” This latest report echoes Hamaguchi’s remarks about Final Fantasy 7 Part 3 in late 2024. At the time, the director also revealed that the next entry in the FF7 trilogy was progressing well, an indication that development could be going according to plan for a long time.
In another recent interview with JPGames, Hamaguchi talked more about Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3, revealing that the keyword used to shape the gameplay and story of the next entry has already been decided. Unfortunately, the director did not reveal the keyword, but gamers already know that it was “reunion” for FF7 Remake and “bonds” for Rebirth. So, the next one may also be related to human connections somehow.
