Upon completing The Rising Tide expansion's What Ails You side quest, Final Fantasy 16 players will be rewarded with the Serpent Ring Design Draft. When paired with the right crafting materials, this special smithing draft will allow players to craft four unique accessories that can be used to reduce the cooldown times of Leviathan's Eikonic Abilities, thus making them incredibly useful in certain situations.

Final Fantasy 16 DLC: How Long to Beat The Rising Tide?

With the second piece of FF16 DLC costing twice as much as the first, prospective players may want to know how long it takes to beat The Rising Tide.

Each of the four rings requires two pieces of Aquamarine, which players can find by using the Adder Stone, though each will also require a secondary crafting ingredient. Players will receive Ageless Millet and Ageless Tallow for completing two of the expansion's side quests, but finding the other two crafting components can be a little tricky. This guide will explain where to find the Ageless Oilstone, which is needed to craft The Serpent's Watch (Abyssal Tear) accessory.

How to Find Ageless Oilstone in Final Fantasy 16 (FF16 Ageless Oilstone Location)

Players will find the Ageless Oilstone in a chest on a cliff to the southeast of the Tailwind Bay Obelisk. There are a couple of Northern Wolves and a Lesser Archelon nearby, so players may want to be cautious with their approach lest they want to get dragged into an unnecessary fight. The chest is tucked away in an area overlooking the ocean and is very easy to miss unless players happen to be looking for it. As well as the Ageless Oilstone, players will also receive 30 Sharp Fangs when they open the chest.

How to Craft The Serpent's Watch Accessory in Final Fantasy 16

Assuming they already have a few pieces of Aquamarine to hand, players will now be able to craft The Serpent's Watch by visiting the Haven's forge or the one at the Hideaway. When equipped, this ornate ring reduces the cooldown time of Abysal Tear by 2.0 seconds, which should come in handy when dealing with some of the game's tougher content. Cross Swell and Tsunami are arguably the better Eikonic Abilities in most situations, but Abysal Tear can definitely still have its uses depending on how players choose to build Clive.
