Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic has multiple endings that players can get depending on their choice at the end. If players choose to run the Parachute.exe program instead of handing the Data Diver to the Dispatcher, it'll open up a hidden pathway in the room leading to a familiar location. Afterward, once players reach Edwin Murray's house, they'll need to collect some tapes/reels to get the code for Edwin's room upstairs. Here's where to find these tapes and get the code.
What Should You Do With Giftbox Memorabilia In FNAF: Secret Of The Mimic?
Players will find several giftbox items called Memorabilia in FNAF Secret of the Mimic, here's why they're important and what you should do with them.
All Reel/Tape Locations in Edwin's House
Once players enter Edwin's house, they'll spot the Mimic who has followed them here and will patrol the area in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic. Once you enter the room right in front of them with Executive access, there will be a project on the table with an inventory tube station on the side. The main objective here is to find five birthday reels scattered around the area, and play them in a particular order to get the code for Edwin's room.
So, here are all the locations of birthday reels/tapes in Edwin's house first.
Use wind-up mouse toys and voice-line mannequins to distract the mimic to a specific location. You can also use the vents to travel between rooms for a safe passage.
Tape 1
Exit the projector room through the door next to the inventory tube system to arrive in a living space with a tiger mascot costume on the table. Go around the table to spot a little room on the left, which has a safe inside.
Open up the safe to get the first birthday reel. Head back into the project room and place the reel onto the table.
Tape 2
For the second tape, exit the project room from the main door, and you'll enter the hallway. Head left inside the room and enter the connecting room to the right. You'll find another tape inside a safe in the corner of the room, beside the round table.
Tape 3
For the next tape, you'll need to move across the hallway to the very end and enter the room next to the staircase. There's an open vent inside that you can use to head into a storage area with another safe. Open up the safe to get the third birthday reel.
Tape 4
The next two tapes are on the second floor. So, carefully move around the Mimic and head upstairs. There will be a room right in front of you at the top of the stairs that you can enter and grab the fourth tape from inside the safe.
Tape 5
The final tape is located at the end of the second-floor hallway, inside a room to the left. There's a safe snuggled between a round table and a workbench that you can open to get the fifth tape.
How to Get Edwin's Room Keypad Code in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic
Once all the birthday tapes/reels are gathered on the table, you'll need to take note of the picture posted on the projector. Notice how the word David is spelled out with different colored letters. You'll need to play the birthday reels/tapes in the order of the colors in David's name on the picture.
So, the correct sequence to play the tapes is Green, Magenta, Blue, Red/Orange, Yellow. Once you play the tapes in this order, there will be a digit revealed at the end of each reel. You'll need to memorize this code and enter it on Edwin's Room keypad to open the door and progress further into FNAF: Secret of the Mimic.
This code in randomized, and different on every playthrough. So, you'll still need to find the birthday reels in the NG+, despite knowing the code already.
