Nintendo has announced a new wave of Fire Emblem Engage merchandise will be coming soon, featuring acrylic stands and can badges based on the game's large cast. The newest Fire Emblem brought with it a massive roster of characters with over 30 playable units, along with multiple past heroes from the franchise as Emblems. The game also features references to past characters through its Ring system. Now, Nintendo is giving fans of all of Engage's wide roster of characters their own merchandise to show off their fandom. The diverse roster of characters has been one of the highest praises from fans of Fire Emblem Engage in the month since the game's launch. Engage features a frequently expanding cast with almost every new chapter of the game's story adding one or more new characters to the player's roster. The newest Fire Emblem game also broke new ground for the franchise, allowing players to choose any character as an S-Rank Support with no gender-locked romance options. Nintendo's newest line of merch looks to have something for every Fire Emblem Engage fan. Nintendo recently announced its newest partnership with Japanese company Empty for a wave of Fire Emblem Engage merchandise. The new set will feature acrylic keychains and can badges featuring 56 characters between the playable cast, Emblems, and even some important side characters. Acrylic stands will also be released featuring both the male and female variants of main character Alear and Emblem Marth, as well as a tapestry with the game's cover art. The new merchandise is currently scheduled to release in Japan in late April.
Fire Emblem's newest line of merchandise comes as one of the first sets for Fire Emblem Engage with more likely to follow. Past games have seen popular characters turned into figures and keychains for players to acquire with Fire Emblem Three Houses' Byleth receiving a stunning scale figure last year. Three Houses in particular saw a wide variety of merch with fans treated to everything from tapestries, plushes, and even officially licensed socks bearing logos of the game's titular houses.
Fire Emblem Engage has seen success early for Nintendo as the newest entry in one of the publisher's flagship franchises. A report released by the NPD Group earlier this month ranked Fire Emblem Engage as the fifth best-selling game of January despite releasing late in the month. While Engage has generally seen lower review scores than its predecessors, fans have praised the depth of its combat and strategic gameplay. Fire Emblem Engage has seen a strong early showing and will look to keep up the momentum with its newest merchandise.
Fire Emblem Engage is available now for Nintendo Switch.
