Fortnite fans are often eagerly looking for what collaborations have in store for them, and this season has been nothing short of exciting for the community. From Fallout to a surprising Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration in Fortnite, fans have received plenty of new skins, mythic weapons, and items. However, one collaboration players have been requesting for a long time is Five Nights at Freddy’s, and it seems like the rumors are picking up pace.
Rumor: Fortnite’s Next Icon Series Skin Might Have Been Teased
One of the biggest Fortnite content creators teases an upcoming collaboration, fueling fan speculation about a potential skin based on him.
In a new tweet, popular Fortnite leaker HYPEX (via JustClickNWatch and JonnyBlox) highlights Five Nights at Freddy’s creator's reaction to the ongoing collab rumors. As per the tweet, Five Nights at Freddy’s creator Scott Cawthon commented on a YouTube live stream on JustClickNWatch's channel, stating that fans will need to wait and see how things pan out. Initially, Cawthon just inquires about what fans are waiting for, but he eventually leaves an ambiguous response. He states, "Collab? Huh? Crazy days. Who's to say! Guess we will have to wait and see." Soon after that, Dead by Daylight announced a collaboration with Five Nights at Freddy’s for Summer 2025, but some fans are still optimistic about a possible Fortnite collaboration in the August 6 update.
Five Nights at Freddy’s Anniversary Celebrations Sparks Fortnite Collab Rumors
Rumors about a Fortnite collaboration with Five Nights at Freddy’s have been making rounds on the internet after it was revealed that the latter will be hosting some sort of collab on August 6 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the franchise. Considering the fact that it happened to coincide with a Fortnite update, fans were speculating that something was cooking between the two popular franchises. However, Fortnite fans ended up being a bit disappointed after Epic Games' announcement.
While Fortnite fans were expecting Epic Games to announce the Five Nights at Freddy’s collaboration, the developers revealed a Fall Guys partnership instead. This didn't go down well in the community, and fans flooded the comments section with requests for a Five Nights at Freddy’s collab instead. It should be noted that Fall Guys' partnership with Fortnite wasn't surprising since it has been rumored for almost a year. In fact, it was all but confirmed when Fall Guys made its way into Fortnite Creative. That being said, Fortnite leakers highlighted that the collab could still happen once the update releases, so fans are still hopeful.
