Five Nights at Freddy's is a massive franchise spanning over ten years, debuting in 2014 as an indie horror title on PC and quickly followed by several sequels that later made their way to consoles as well. Much of the main series is playable on the Nintendo Switch already, along with the spinoff Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted and the base Security Breach game.

Nintendo revealed the new two-pack of Five Nights at Freddy's games at the August 27 Nintendo Direct event with a short trailer showcasing footage from both games and confirming a 2024 holiday season release window. Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2 was initially released as a VR minigame collection, but the upcoming Switch release appears to be a traditional first-person title, while Security Breach - Ruin is a sequel DLC to the original Security Breach game debuting on the Switch.

Two More Five Nights at Freddy's Titles Come to Nintendo Switch

Despite starting life as a virtual reality game, Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted saw a non-VR version release at a later point, giving all fans a chance to play the game regardless of hardware. The sequel, Help Wanted 2, got similar treatment after its initial launch, with an update allowing players to enjoy it without a VR headset. This is the version being ported to the Switch.

FNAF: Security Breach provides a more traditional horror experience, putting players in the shoes of two children who find themselves stranded in an abandoned indoor amusement park while monstrous animatronics stalk them at every turn. The game later received a free DLC called FNAF: Security Breach - Ruin which served as a follow-up to the original game, expanding on the story and even offering multiple endings.

The franchise continues to grow as fans were also recently treated to a brand-new game, Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit, providing a more traditional survival horror experience. On top of this, fans can also look forward to the upcoming Dead by Daylight crossover set to come out sometime next year.
