During Night 2 of Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit, Oswald's efforts to explore the Pizzeria and rescue the Yellow Rabbit's victims are obstructed by "The Bird." Chica the Chicken has holed up in the kitchen with one of the trapped kids, and we'll need to lure her out if we want to rescue them.
In Oswald's first encounter with Chica, she was distracted when he dropped his lunch. This reveals her weakness to players of Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit, namely her love of food. Chica will grab any food left lying around and take it to her "Trash Nest" in the Party Hallway. We'll need to use this to our advantage if we want to get into the Kitchen.
How to Get the Trapped Rat
We'll need a certain essential item to get everything we need into place. First things first, head for the Mill and pick up the Rat Trap. Next, we're going to need a Rat. There's one in the Party Hallway, but only in the past version of the Pizzeria, so hop into the Ball Pit and sneak your way over to the Party Hallway. Once there, head over to the right side and watch the Rat flee into the vent. After it's left, interact with the spot underneath the vent (picture 2, above) to set the trap. With the trap set, you'll need to leave the room, so the Rat will come out. The easiest and safest way to do this is by using the vent on the far left to clamber over to the basement, and then immediately come back. (A text box saying "SNAP" will appear when the trap triggers)
Return to the Party Hallway to retrieve a caged Rat. Now that we have our Pocket Rat, it's time to get Chica some food.
How to Get a Pizza Slice
The next item we'll need to enact our plan is a slice of pizza. Since there's none to be found in the past pizzeria right now, we'll need to head back to Jeff's. Hopefully, he'll be fine with giving us a slice, right? Unfortunately, Jeff insists that we must buy a whole pizza since he stops selling individual slices after lunch. That means we're going to need to steal a slice from the kitchen.
Head over to the lady eating in the dining area and use the rat you caught to start a panic. Slip into the kitchen while everyone is distracted and steal a cheesy slice off the counter. Now we have everything we need to distract Chica and get into the kitchen.
How to Distract Chica
Now that we have some pizza, it's time to head back to the past. Sneak over to the Party Hallway and place the slice in Chica's Trash Nest. Then hide under the nearby table and wait for her to go and eat it. Once she's eating, slip over to the kitchen door and head inside.
