Flintlock: The Siege Of Dawn has three skill trees for players to invest their Reputation into. Unlocking new skills offers a range of bonuses, from passive increases in damage, new abilities to be used by pressing specific button combinations, and more black powder charges.

Reputation is the main resource in the game, with any held Reputation being lost should the players die, and only one additional life to try and recover it. It is possible for players to refund a purchase skill to get their Reputation back and spend it elsewhere, but there is a slight catch to it.

How To Refund Skills In Flintlock: The Siege Of Dawn

Refunding skills can be done anytime through the skills menu. Hover over the skill you want to refund, and hold down the button that appears in the bottom right of the screen to unlearn the skill. Only the most recent skills in a skill tree can be unlearned, meaning the earliest skills in a skill tree will require all later skills to be unlearned first.

The amount of Reputation players will get for unlearning a skill will appear next to the unlearn button, but this isn't a full refund. Unlearning a skill will only give you back 80% of the original cost of the skill. Due to the lower refund amount, players should think very carefully before refunding a skill, as all skills benefit the player in some way, and offer no negative effects to worry about.

Other Methods For Earning Reputation In Flintlock: The Siege Of Dawn

While unlearning a skill may seem like an easy way to get Reputation, there are many other ways for players to earn it that don't rely heavily on the no-hit multiplier. The multiplier can be difficult for many to master as it requires players to never get hit, but luckily there are other easy methods to get Reputation, with some not involving combat at all.

Name	Explanation
Sebo	Sebo is a coin-based mini-game that can be played with many NPCs throughout the world.
Constrict's Buttons	Dead bodies can be looted to get Conscript's Buttons, which can be sold individually or in bulk for 150 Reputation per button.
Bandit Flags	Finding and shooting bandit flags offer small sums of Reputation.
Complete Side Quests	Head to a coffee shop of a cleared Hamlet to begin and complete side quests.
Using Breaching Barrels	While these are often tied to main or side quests, using Breaching Barrels offers decent sums of Reputation.
