Fortnite is rolling out another crossover with a beloved science-fiction horror franchise for Halloween, teaming up with Alien to add the iconic Xenomorph as a skin. The battle royale's annual "Fortnitemares" event pulled out all the stops in 2025 to stand as one of the game's biggest Halloween events yet, with loads of new content and skins. Fortnite added more than 20 skins to the game throughout its Halloween festivities, including crossovers with Scooby-Doo, Friday the 13th, and Scream among others. Now, Epic Games is sending off the event with one more horror tribute.
Horror movie crossovers have been a staple of the battle royale's Halloween events, with plenty of popular franchises receiving their own Fortnite skins. Last year's event featured new skins based on everything from live-action horror franchises like Texas Chainsaw Massacre's Leatherface to The Nightmare Before Christmas' Sally. The game also typically features special changes to the map to ring in the spooky season, including new Points of Interest and unique challenges for players to tackle in-game. Fortnite is now bringing a new skin from another iconic horror series.
A Popular Fortnite Crossover is Making an Unexpected Return
One of Fortnite's most popular crossovers is reportedly gearing up to make an unexpected comeback, according to recent reports from the battle royale.
Fortnite officially revealed a brand-new skin from the Alien franchise hitting the in-game shop to celebrate Halloween. The skin features a brand-new version of the Alien series' signature Xenomorphs, with the new version said to be taken from FX's Alien: Earth TV series. Fans can pick up the Xenomorph skin as part of a new bundle, including the "Xenotail Slasher" pickaxe, the "Facehugger Sample" backbling, and the "Llamamorphs" emote for 2,000 V-Bucks. The Alien: Earth Xenomorph skin will be available in Fortnite's in-game item shop until November 6.
Fortnite Adds Alien: Earth Xenomorph Skin
Fortnite's newest Alien skin would not be the first time the battle royale has teamed up with the sci-fi horror franchise. Fortnite previously added skins based on the Xenomorph and Alien protagonist Ellen Ripley during the game's Chapter 2 in 2021, alongside a new pickaxe, back bling, emote, and loading screen. The crossover also comes as the Alien franchise has been heavily rumored to have a new game in development, reportedly serving as a sequel to 2021's Aliens: Fireteam Elite.
As Fortnite wraps up its ongoing Chapter 6 with the end of Fortnitemares, Epic Games has already given fans a glimpse into the game's future. Fortnite will launch a new mini-season centered around a new crossover with The Simpsons in early November, adding new skins and changing the map based on the beloved Fox series. The developer also officially confirmed the long-rumored introduction of Sidekicks to Fortnite, allowing fans to bring their own animal companions into the fray as special cosmetics. Fortnite looks to have plenty of exciting content as the game moves forward into its next mini-season.
