Fortnite Lawless brings the popular heist theme back into full gear, this time embracing the ability to break into vaults to steal Gold and other items, along with battling bosses to get a hold of powerful Mythics. This season is truly a massive shift from the previous one, offering players a fast-paced experience for all to enjoy.
With a ton of additional items and features in Fortnite Lawless, there's no shortage of fun to be had. However, while a huge chunk of the features for Chapter 6 Season 2 are unique to the season, a handful of features from the previous have carried over, such as Boons. Here is every Boon available for the current season of Fortnite, along with how to get them.

All Boons In Fortnite (& What They Do)
Boons are unique items that offer passive abilities for players who equip them. Upon collection, each Boon occupies its own inventory slot, and players can equip multiple Boons simultaneously—even being able to hold all five at once.
Boons themselves will also remain in the player's inventory even after they are eliminated, meaning that if players are in a squad and are taken out, they will retain the Boons they had prior to dying once they are rebooted.
There are five total Boons for the current season of Fortnite, each with a diverse array of abilities. Here is a breakdown of each one:
- Vulture Boon: Reveals enemies that were recently eliminated on the map for a short time.
- Gold Rush Boon: Opening or destroying Chests grants Gold Rush, an effect that increases the player's movement and harvesting speed for a short duration.
- Adrenaline Rush Boon: Receive the Slap Effect after mantling, hurdling, and wall jumping. The Slap Effect increases the player's movement speed, whilst also temporarily offering unlimited stamina.
- Gold Ammo Boon: Receive ammo upon picking up Gold Bars.
- Greed Boon: Earn extra Gold Bars from eliminations and upon opening containers.
How To Get Boons In Fortnite
Looting Rare Chests
The first and least surefire way for players to get their hands on Boons is by looting Rare Chests. Rare Chests are easily differentiated from regular Chests thanks to their blue color and unique chime, but they often spawn in random locations in place of a regular Chest.
However, players can find guaranteed Rare Chests within the various vaults across the island—the locations of which are as follows:
- Masked Meadows
- Crime City
- Lonewolf Lair
- Seaport City
- The Train
While Rare Chests have the potential to drop a random Boon, they are not guaranteed. Players may very well open a Rare Chest only to find no Boon in sight. Despite this, there is also a guaranteed method for acquiring a select number of Boons.
Purchasing From The Black Market
Boons can also be purchased from the Black Markets, fixed points of interest that allow players to trade Gold Bars, and Dill Bits for different items. A selection of Boons are available to purchase for a single Dill Bit, a currency looted from the various vaults around the map.
