The short answer is yes, the Battle Bus will return soon to Fortnite. While the Battle Bus has been destroyed as of the launch day for Chapter 7 Season 1, the Battle Bus is expected to return on December 4, 9 AM ET. The process of rebuilding the Battle Bus has become a quest chain that players can complete in the Battle Royale mode for XP and additional cosmetic rewards, so be sure to check your Quests to help bring back the Bus Driver!
December 4 has been confirmed as the release date, thanks to a post from a popular leaker on X, FireMonkey, showcasing the Phase 2 Battle Bus quests that release on the same day. One of these quests reads: Thank the Bus Driver, indicating that the Battle Bus will be repaired and players can return to their normal gameplay loop of dropping from the Battle Bus over to any POI that they like, instead of the new tactic of surfing to the island.
Once the Battle Bus returns on December 4, players will have a 50% chance to spawn in the Battle Bus at the start of a Battle Royale match, or spawn surfing the tsunami. This means that for every match, you'll either have to surf to the island or drop from the Battle Bus.
