Epic Games has announced that Fortnite Battle Pass progression is changing on December 1, allowing players to progress all passes in the game simultaneously by playing any mode of their liking. Before this major change is made in Fortnite, Epic Games has also confirmed a new Music Pass will be introduced this November.
On November 2, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 will come to a close, meaning players only have a few days to earn Marvel-themed rewards from the Absolute Doom Battle Pass. After some downtime, the next season of Fortnite is expected to begin, with leaks suggesting that several collaborations are on the way before the end of the year. According to recent leaks, these crossovers reportedly involve Porsche and Disney's Cars franchise. The next season will also bring changes to Battle Pass progression in Fortnite, making the game an even more rewarding experience regardless of the mode that players decide to enjoy.
Fortnite Fan Has Idea to Make Festival Instruments Better
A Fortnite fan has an incredible idea to make Festival instruments better by applying them outside of the Guitar Hero-like game mode.
According to Epic Games, all passes in Fortnite will progress simultaneously by earning XP from any mode starting December 1. This means that players can earn XP from LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival, Fortnite Creative, and Fortnite Battle Royale, with all experience counting towards all Passes at once. Additionally, the new Music Pass, formerly known as the Festival Pass, will be available on November 2 as one of the first new Passes that support the new progression system. Music Pass XP may be obtained in Fortnite Festival Season 6 and Fortnite Remix Chapter 2, and the change will be applied to the Brick or Treat LEGO Pass from LEGO Fortnite on December 1.
Fortnite Players Can Level Up All Passes Simultaneously Starting December 1

- Future Music and LEGO Passes will have one track with free and premium rewards.
After December 1, future Music and LEGO Passes will change to one track with both free and premium rewards. Players may claim rewards on the unlocked pages of each active pass in a non-sequential order on all passes, similar to the current Fortnite Battle Pass. Players can also enable an auto-claim feature that immediately grants the reward once it's unlocked in the free and premium tracks. Epic Games also teases that Fortnite players will soon have "an easy way" to purchase all premium passes at once.
To further simplify progression, Epic Games is retiring Festival Points in Fortnite on November 2, followed by Battle Stars and Studs on December 1. Moreover, the company has confirmed that players will be able to directly purchase Pass rewards instead of buying levels to unlock their rewards. Epic Games is expected to share new details about Fortnite Remix Chapter 2 before the update arrives on November 2.
