A new season of Fortnite always means a new meta, and as players hunt for Victory Royale, they are going to want to make sure that they're dropping from the Battle Bus with the best weapons available to them. The roster of weapons increases with Chapter 6 Season 4, so players will definitely want to check out our ranking of the best guns in Fortnite CH6S4 Shock 'N Awesome so that they can become a true contender for the Victory Crown.
Players can only hold 5 items in their loadout, so only 7 weapons will be considered as viable for the meta. Mythics and Exotics will also not be counted, as there can only be 1 per game. As such, we have our Mythics & Exotics ranked here.

- How to Get: Chests, Hive Nests, O.X.R. Chests
Swarmstrike should really only be in your loadout in desperate situations, as this is a weapon that's made to counter those who run away in a fight. The Swarmstrike fires 7 rockets, which can be guided with a laser tracker on the Swarmstrike itself. These rockets track near and far, and players can use that to stop vehicles from running away by exploding them on impact with all 7 rockets. The damage is rather minimal against human enemies, but the splash damage is wide, so while this weapon might not be better than a shotgun at close range, it does the job in stopping vehicles from running away, which is a necessity in the current and often cowardly meta.

The Bug Blaster has an immense scale of damage, and it's capable of charged shots that can instantly kill most bugs, and deals around 250 damage to Queens. While the damage stats might seem breathtaking, these are just for the bugs, so players are going to have to temper their expectations against actual living players and not creepy crawlies. Regardless, the Bug Blaster is relatively quick to fire, doesn't need to be reloaded, and can be charged to deal more damage. The use of splash damage with this weapon means players can hit targets with less of a need for accuracy.

Another season without snipers might be a disappointment for most eagle-eyed players who like to fight from far ranges, but the Deadeye DMR remains a strong choice for players who like to watch through a scope. The Deadeye DMR might not have a higher DPS than other Assault Rifles and SMGs, but it packs a punch with each headshot and body shot. Persistent damage with the Deadeye DMR means that a confident shot from behind the scope will eradicate enemies from a safer distance than most, so this is a weapon to pick up if you like long-range engagements, and even medium-range engagements, so long as you can hit those shots with the heavy recoil.

- How to Get: Chests, Hive Nests, O.X.R. Chests
- Mythic variant acquired from the Queen Bug at Ranger's Ruin
The Sweeper Shotgun is the new Shotgun variant in Chapter 6, Season 4, and it has a peculiar design. While most other Shotguns have an average fire rate and a tight pellet spread, the Sweeper Shotgun goes above and beyond in allowing for a fast fire rate and a wide pellet spread, so that each bullet can hug multiple enemies. Even outside of Squads, where the more spread means the better, the Sweeper Shotgun excels at close range due to its abundance of pellets that can hit a target for well over 100 damage per shot, which is also very fast to fire. The aim assist on the Sweeper Shotgun is also incredible, ensuring that you never miss a shot.

- Mythic variant acquired from the Queen Bug at The Hive
- Exotic variant acquired from O.X.R. Bunkers
The Wrecker Revolver is a new addition to Chapter 6 Season 4, and its small appearance is very misleading. Size matters not with the Wrecker Revolver, for this small gun packs a mighty punch. It's a revolver that fires shotgun pellets, and this has a multitude of uses. Sure, the fire rate and magazine size are limited, but players can use this alongside another Wrecker Revolver or a shotgun to effectively double-pump without a cooldown delay between shots. Even on its own, the damage at medium range is far superior to any shotgun.

- Mythic variant acquired from the Queen Bug at Demon's Debris
- Exotic variant acquired from O.X.R. Bunkers
The O.X.R. Rifle is Chapter 6 Season 4's de facto AR, providing players with a weapon appropriately themed for this bug-killing season. It's versatile with its precision and range, but limited in its fire rate. While it may seem slower than other Assault Rifles, players will be impressed with its lack of bloom and its easy recoil, providing them with a persistently good Assault Rifle that will aid them in medium-range fights.

- How to Get: Chests, Hive Nests, O.X.R. Chests, Floor Loot
The Veiled Precision SMG has been the consistent best weapon in Fortnite Chapter 6 for a variety of reasons. It fires fast, its kick is manageable, and the damage doesn't really drop off from any range. The fact that players have a scoped SMG with hitscan means that players can consistently hit their shots, no matter the distance their enemies are. The Veiled Precision SMG is in a perfectly balanced place, and remains a safe and solid choice for gunfights in medium and close-range vicinity with its fast-firing mode and decent damage output.
