As Marvel returns to Fortnite with Chapter 5 Season 4, so do some iconic locations that Doctor Doom fans will be familiar with. Marvel has their eyes on Fortnite with the Absolute Doom season, and as such, some major locations and smaller areas of the Battle Royale map have been changed, bringing about fresh POIs for players to explore and marvel at as they embark on a quest for the Victory Royale alongside Marvel heroes and villains.

Each new location in Chapter 5 Season 4 will offer players a new variety of loot and exploration, as well as some challenges that don't come from other players. With 4 POIs in Chapter 5 Season 4 and a few smaller changes to the landmarks, Absolute Doom is set to be a doozy for Marvel fans.

5 Castle Doom

The Central Location of Doctor Doom

Located in the upper North-East of the map
Features Doom Bot as a boss fight
Replaced the Slumberyard

The central location for Chapter 5 Season 4 is Castle Doom, where Doctor Doom sits on a throne made of the Fantastic Four's Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing. Castle Doom holds many secrets and easter eggs relating to the Marvel universe, and it shows that there is no end to Doom's superiority complex over villains and heroes that he knows he can beat with his intellect and magical gauntlets.

Castle Doom is a winding maze-like castle, where players will find themselves lost in museums, libraries, and courtyards. Castle Doom is still an exciting addition, and the addition of hostile NPCs just makes the area more exhilarating to loot and battle in.

4 Doomstadt

A Heavily Controlled City Where Littering is Forbidden

Features Mysterio as a boss fight
Replaced Lavish Lair

Doomstadt is a more humble abode for Doctor Doom's control of Latveria, but it's anything but freeing. Doomstadt has quite a few Doctor Doom guards that protect and maintain peace inside, so be wary when battling them. Doomstadt also has Mysterio, who lurks in illusion within the main courtyard beside the giant bronze Doctor Doom statue.

Players should also be cautious of Doomstadt, as littering is strictly prohibited, and their every move is watched in a secret CCTV room. Doomstadt is a nice little town, so long as players do not run into other enemies or Doom's own squad of bad guys.

3 The Raft

A Prison to Hold Diabolical Villains

The Raft is an iconic area in the Marvel comics, as it features as a super-prison designed to hold and maintain the incredible power and evils of Marvel's most diabolical foes. The Raft is a maximum security super prison, and inside, players might find a few easter eggs relating to some villains, and even a cell specifically for Gwenpool for some reason.

The Raft is fun to explore, as some rooms forbid emoting, and others have red lasers as sensors, and if players run into them, then they will be marked on the map for anyone within the vicinity. The Raft is clearly in ruins, and whatever Marvel villains lurked inside have all but abandoned this place, except Emma Frost, who players can fight for loot.

2 Doom's Courtyard

A Humble Area For Doom's Standards

A smaller area that is sandwiched between the two large POIs of Castle Doom and Doomstadt is that of Doom's Courtyard. This area has replaced Classy Courts, and players aren't going to find much here, which could make it a great place to loot up and avoid the early-game action that will take place in highly contested and popular POIs for Chapter 5 Season 4.

Doom's Courtyard is not without its lore, and it shows Doctor Doom's vanity of self-expression, for there are quite a few statues that simply feature Doom's masked head, as well as some sophisticated furniture inside the building beside this area.

1 Galactus' Head

The Crown of the Cosmic Being Who Eats Planets

Located in the inaccessible sea surrounding the Battle Royale island

Whilst Galactus' head is inaccessible to players, due to it featuring far out into the ocean that cannot be reached, it's still extremely interesting to see in the distance. The lore implications are incredible, as the fractured helmet of Galactus implies that this planet-eating conqueror has been bested, and now his head is all that remains of him, left floating in the ocean. Perhaps Galactus' Head will eventually drift to shore, where it will be accessible as a POI later in the season.
