Wonkeeland

A Chaotic Joy Land With Rollercoasters, Minigames, and Warfare

  • Location: Northwest of the map

Wonkeeland is perfect for players who are coming into the island from the top of the map as the tsunami rolls in, specifically because of its expansive nature in the forest. Without Wonkeeland, players will have an assortment of grind rails and rollercoasters to enjoy, which aren't just fun but tactical as well. These rides can be taken to grant health and shield, along with providing fast-paced high-ground to ensure you're keeping Wonkeeland as your controlled zone by making sure everyone is below you, and no one is above you.

From the Ferris wheel to the water slide and the shooting minigame, there's always something to do in Wonkeeland. Its northern location is a great starting point, and the grind rails ensure that there's always a way out of the action as you explore this theme park, or set your sights on conquering it. Wonkeeland is fun, fast-paced, and a central location for combat-heavy starting points.

Ripped Tides

A Muscle Beach For Close-Quarter Fights and Flexing

  • Location: Southwest of the map

For something a tad more chill, head to Ripped Tides, which is on the southwest edge of the map. If the tsunami rolls you here, then you'll find an abundance of loot within its many buildings. However, you should be mindful of the rather heavy weight that you can lif t, as the reward isn't always worth the time. However, the other buildings are, and it's always nice to pay your respects to the Bus Driver, as the remains of the destroyed Battle Bus can also be found here.

What makes Ripped Tides a great spot for dropping isn't just the common spawn point for a boss, but also for how tight the zone can be. Most buildings are closely woven together, and the lack of high ground means that combat can stay close-quarters and engaging without seeming like a maze-filled game of cat and mouse.

Sandy Strip

Party It Up in Vegas

  • Location: East of the map

Coming in from the east, you'll find Sandy Strip, which is Battlewood's own version of Las Vegas, complete with the Sphere that welcomes you to this place of interest. While you can't gamble for better loot, you can gamble for your life as you fight your way across the opponents that might also land here due to its famed location, and ability to speak to the Bride for some free Gold to start your journey.

Everything New in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1
Everything New in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 brings a whole host of new changes that switch up the gameplay a lot. Here is a rundown of everything new.

Sandy Strip is a decent starting point due to its position on the map, abundance of vehicles that allow you to escape and venture elsewhere, and, of course, the many high-ground buildings with destructible windows that allow you to shoot from cover if you're not in the mood to build. Besides, the clock tower from Tilted Towers is here, so there's another reason to love it.

Painted Palms

A Deserted Movie Set For Quick Access Loot

  • Location: Northeast of the map

If the tsunami crashes you into the desert area of the east side of the map, then take a trip to Painted Palms, a great starting location that's noted for being an abandoned movie set. Players can expect a quiet start to the game from this POI, especially since the Miles Cross NPC can be found here to supply you with a buddy, ensuring another gun joins your fight to fight off combatants that dare try to take over this studio.

What's even better than the hireable NPC is the fact that the buildings can be locked down, as each stage has a multitude of buttons and hangar doors that can be interacted with to lower the shutter doors. Just be mindful of where you stand, as being caught in a closing door results in your instant demise. Regardless, these doors and the spaciousness of these bunkers will allow you to weave between cover during a chase, and even allow you to trap your prey inside.

Tiptop Terrace

Fight for the High Ground and Hug Some Trees

  • Location: Northwest of the map

Tiptop Terrace is a perfect spot to land at, as it's right on the edge of the northern end of the map, meaning that the tsunami could reward you with a great location to hunker down in. Tiptop Terrace has it all, from an abundance of buildings filled with loot, to high ground to ensure that you're always able to pick off the foes from below and a Jump Pad to allow for a quick ascent to the sky so you can make a quick exit.

Tiptop Terrace is wonderful for keeping the high ground and staying one with nature. While the location might seem a little isolating, controlling this place in squads against rival teams is a lot of fun, especially when there's enough loot for everyone as you cross the high-up bridges into the other buildings.

Bumpy Bay

Land on the Edge for Suburban Relaxation

  • Location: West of the map

If you're in search of a more relaxing start to a match, then try Bumpy Bay. This area is nothing to oout of the ordinary, and its suburban design makes it a loving place to venture from the tsunami as you search for loot. The winding buildings and tight corners, paired with the rooftops for high ground, make it a great location to try and take control of, especially for those in need of loot as soon as they drop.

This area is also pretty distinct from the others, allowing for some breathing room before players of other POIs venture here to see what the commotion is about. For more firepower, you can even hire the Carter Wu NPC, ensuring another squad member fills your team as you leave no stone unturned when it comes to looting the many buildings found here.

Humble Hills

Humble Buildings for Squads to Conquer

  • Location: Southwest of the map

The Humble Hills aren't exactly humble, as these large homes provide an abundance of space and loot, along with the Cat Holloway NPC, who can be hired as an ally, provided you have the right amount of Gold. Humble Hills can be a nice starting spot to drop at, especially for squads, as there are enough buildings for everyone to try their luck at some pretty nice loot.

Even if the loot is mediocre, cars within the area will allow for a quick getaway to somewhere else, and the openness of this POI ensures that nobody is going to catch you unaware, especially with a nearby hill that allows you to stay on top of everyone that might dare come across this location.

Battlewood Boulevard

The Central Place to Be For All-Terrain Combat

  • Location: South of the map

Battlewood Boulevard is arguably the largest POI currently on the Chapter 7 Season 1 island, and it's a great spot to jump to if you like fast action and to hunt the enemy. This central location is bound to be a popular spot, and there's always something to find here. Whether it's loot, a vehicle to move around in, or an enemy to kill. The theater makes for a fun addition worth exploring, and the highway ensures constant movement in the open.

With explorable sewers, highway roads, and a plethora of spaced-out buildings, you'll never run out of areas to roam in Battlewood Boulevard, but the large nature of this POI might require a bit of legwork just to get around and hunt the other teams that land here. Still, its size makes for a decent beginning to any match, as there's bound to be enough loot for all.
