Fortnite has seen plenty of special guests over the years, and some fans are pointing out that Epic’s massively successful battle royale extravaganza will soon have up to nine participants from the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny as skins. Fortnite has already become one of the biggest crossovers in gaming thanks to its seemingly never-ending wave of playable characters from popular movies, TV shows, games, comics, and more starting with Black Widow and Star-Lord of Marvel fame in 2019.
With numerous crossover skins released in the years since then, it’s possible to see entire armies of licensed characters battling it out in Fortnite - to the point where observers might compare it to the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny. This classic musical animation was created by Neil Cicierega in 2005 and depicted a massive battle between some of history and pop culture’s most iconic figures. The fight is first ignited by Godzilla and Batman in Tokyo, eventually engulfing numerous fictional characters and real-life people, with the final victor being the late, great Mister Rogers.
While Mister Rogers isn’t likely to be included in Fortnite anytime soon, some fans are noticing that a lot of the participants of the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny are already in Epic's multiplayer sandbox. Reddit user Hot_Profession144 pointed this out on r/FortNiteBR shortly after the announcement of Godzilla being added as part of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1. Once the King of the Monsters is brought to Fortnite, there will be nine combatants from the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny, including his original opponent Batman, basketball legend Shaq, Optimus Prime, Indiana Jones, the T-800 Terminator, Darth Vader, and Superman.

Of course, the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny featured many more famous characters and historical figures, so more participants may make their way into Fortnite eventually. Technically, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has already been added as Fortnite character The Foundation, and there have been rumors of other Ultimate Showdown combatants like the Power Rangers over the past few years.
One day, fans might actually be able to recreate the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny in Fortnite, complete with the numerous other guest character skins like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Deadpool. In the meantime, the monster who started the legendary conflict back in 2005 will soon rampage the Island when Godzilla is added to Fortnite as part of Chapter 6 Season 1.
