Fortnite's weekly challenges are great opportunities for players to earn some quick XP and Battle Stars in Season 7, and indeed there is a new set of Legendary quests available right now. In order to complete one of these new quests, fans will need to collect the doomsday preppers guide, though very little information about its location is provided. For those players that may be having trouble tracking down the doomsday preppers guide in Fortnite, this guide is here to help.
To get right to it, there are actually two doomsday preppers guides available on Fortnite's map, and either one is perfectly suitable for completing this new Legendary quest. One of these guides can be found on the ground floor of Building 3 in Steamy Stacks, while the other is in an office in the large factory that is situated between Slurpy Swamp and Misty Meadows. Both of these locations can be seen in the video that is featured below, and it should make tackling this challenge quite simple.
Regardless of the location that a Fortnite player chooses to target, they should simply approach the book and interact with it when they find one. Doing this just one time will be enough to trigger the completion of the "collect doomsday preppers guide" challenge, and fans should receive the associated reward promptly thereafter. That reward is 30,000 XP, and it is just a fraction of what players that finish all of this week's Legendary quests will earn.
With respect to some of the other Legendary challenges that are currently available, one of them asks fans to search the farm for clues in Fortnite. This task is to be finished at Steel Farm, which is a Landmark that is positioned just to the northeast of Corny Complex. This means that the clues that are relevant for this challenge are not extremely far from Steamy Stacks, and players may want to consider heading there after they grab the doomsday preppers guide.
There is also a new quest that instructs fans to place missing person signs in Weeping Woods and Misty Meadows, and both of those locations are quite close to the doomsday preppers guide at Slurpy Swamps. This creates yet another good opportunity for doubling up on challenges, and fans that are interested in efficient XP gains should keep it in mind. While players can certainly take a more leisurely approach to completing the new Legendary quests, those with limited time may appreciate this chance to overlap some of them.
Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
