New leaks indicate that the upcoming Fortnite Crew Pack skin for July 2025 might be a clever reference to the in-game Reboot Van. If true, the skin will show up in July 2025 as part of the exclusive Fortnite Crew subscription service.
Fortnite has spent so long reigning near the top of the charts as one of the best live service games around that its fans and players have developed a subculture around the game's development and various past events. Even now, some veteran fans think back fondly on the earlier days of Fortnite Battle Royale, with events like Fortnite OG and the remixes of older seasons catering to that sense of nostalgia. Developer Epic Games even leans into that sense of community history, occasionally reviving or remixing popular older skin packs to bring new twists to beloved concepts.
Fortnite Has Made a Major Change to Its Battle Pass
Fortnite surprises players by revealing that it has made a major change to the battle pass in Chapter 6 Season 3 of Epic Games' popular battle royale.
A new leak from Fortnite news account ShiinaBR alleges that the new July 2025 Fortnite Crew Pack skin will also set off nostalgia for at least a few fans. According to a leaked screenshot, the new Fortnite Crew Pack skin, which will be distributed to all players subscribed to the Fortnite Crew service in July 2025, is superhero-themed. But rather than a Fortnite crossover character like Superman, the skin is based on the Reboot Van from Season 8's small team Battle Royale. Called "Reboot Man," the skin turns the Reboot Van into a humanoid character wearing a silver-and-blue suit which prominently features the Reboot Van's logo.
Fortnite Crew Pack Skin for July 2025 Turns Reboot Van Into Reboot Man
According to the leak, the Reboot Man skin will be part of the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 "Supernova Academy" set. The skin also comes with a variant for use in LEGO Fortnite, as well as a Back Bling item that mounts a mini version of the original Reboot Van to a player's back, and a pair of reboot sword harvesting tools. The Reboot Man skin will also include multiple styles, including a "mask off" accessory that shows the character's human face.
Player reactions to the reveal were generally positive, with many praising the creative reinterpretation of the now-classic Fortnite Reboot Van concept. A few shared fond memories of having fun in the small team modes and told stories of gambits enabled by the addition of Reboot Vans to the game back in Season 8. A few players were less impressed, complaining about "yet another" superhero suit character and calling for more original costume designs that aren't hero- or armor-themed.
The addition of a character like Reboot Man to the lineup shows just how far Fortnite has come in establishing its own mythology for players to remember and latch onto. Though the game is best known for collaborations with real-world celebrities and pop culture franchises, Fortnite's original characters and stories are becoming increasingly prominent.
