Additional details regarding the previously leaked Fortnite and Dead Space collaboration have now been shared online. The Fortnite community is proactive in datamining Epic Games' updates to its battle royale. The latest update appears to have confirmed some key details regarding its upcoming Dead Space offering. The collaboration looks to be a full quest pack, rather than just an outfit bundle. That may or may not make it a more attractive purchase to Fortnite players.EA Motive is prepping to launch its Dead Space remake on January 27 across all major platforms. The remake takes the iconic sci-fi horror game from 2008 and gives it a modern facelift. Given the high anticipation there is for the Dead Space remake, it's no surprise EA is partnering with Epic Games for a collaboration. In early December, Fortnite leakers revealed they'd found evidence the Dead Space collaboration would launch on January 23. But specific details regarding the collaboration's contents were lacking.RELATED: Fortnite Update Adds Deku's Smash, Falcon Scout, New Reality Augments And More The latest update from Fortnite leakers provides some of the previously absent information regarding the Dead Space collaboration. Instead of a simple skin bundle, the Dead Space partnership will feature a real-money bundle. The Strange Transmissions Quest Pack will include an Outfit, two Back Blings, a Pickaxe, an Outfit-specific Emote, and Quests that will reward a total of 1,500 V-Bucks. Unfortunately, the exact price of the bundle doesn't appear to have been leaked yet.

Real-money Fortnite bundles do have their advantages next to in-game V-Buck bundles. They're often a greater value than V-Buck bundles, for one, as they include both an Outfit and V-Buck rewards. They can also feature an increased amount of content, whereas V-Buck bundles tend to be somewhat limited on how much can be packed into a single purchase. However, not every Fortnite player has extra cash to spend, as opposed to V-Bucks which can be earned through Fortnite's battle passes.

To clarify, there has yet to be an official announcement regarding this leaked Dead Space collaboration in Fortnite. While it's unlikely to be fake or canceled this close to its potential release date, some details may be incorrect or incomplete. Perhaps the Dead Space bundle will feature more content, or perhaps some of its content was inaccurately described. It'll be a real shame if there isn't an Ishimura glider, for instance.

With just over a week until Dead Space launches, and fewer days yet before the rumored launch of the Strange Transmissions Quest Pack, an official announcement is likely to be made in a matter of days. Dead Space may not be as popular now as it once was, but for fans of the horror franchise, this is a great opportunity to celebrate such a hugely influential series.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
