Heading into Fortnite's Chapter 5 Season 4: Absolute Doom, players are going to need to face off against the iconic villain Doctor Doom if they are to save the island and claim that precious Victory Royale. Doctor Doom is not one to trifle with, and his museum of villainous deeds proves that if underestimated, it's time to go back to the lobby.
Fortnite: How to Get the Doctor Doom Skin
Doom comes above all, and Marvel x Fortnite's latest collaboration brings forth Victor Von Doom himself to terrorize the Battle Royale island again.
Doctor Doom in Fortnite is going to be a popular boss, not only for the loot he provides when beaten but for the area that contains so much loot. Fighting Doctor Doom is no walk in Pleasant Park, but with the right tools and mindset, it's easily achievable.
Doombot Location
To find Doctor Doom in Fortnite, players will need to head to Castle Doom, which is situated northeast of the map. This sprawling castle POI will have Doctor Doom in the middle located in the Throne Room, where he will be pondering like the menace he is from his throne, which is disturbing due to the fact it's made of the rock-flesh from the Fantastic Four's member, The Thing.
Inside the Throne Room, players might notice that the health bar of the boss doesn't say Doctor Doom, but instead claims it as Doombot. Regardless of the identity of this mechanical menace, players will need to fight Doombot in order to obtain some unique rewards.
How to Beat Doctor Doom's Doombot
The moment players step foot into the Doombot's domain, they should open fire. Doombot has an animation where he must rise from his throne, so during this animation, players can dump a hefty amount of ammo into him. Doombot is not a simple boss fight, and he has a few moves that will make even the most experienced Battle Royale players shudder, but hopefully, the boss fight below helps raise player confidence.
Doom has a few attacks to look out for. Most importantly, is when he begins to charge himself by glowing green. Players should immediately run or find cover when he's charging this ability, as he's going to perform a kick attack that deals a hefty amount of damage. His other attack features a Mystical Bomb, so whenever he is charging up, run for cover, as that affects the vicinity.
During the fight, more of Doom's Guards will show up to aid him, so it's best to stay behind walls and use The Thing as cover to shoot safely behind and minimize injury. The best weapons to use when fighting Doombot is medium-range weaponry, as standing too close to Doombot is a death sentence thanks to his powerful Arcane Gauntlets, kick attack, and Monarch Pistol. Assault Rifles and SMGs will really help chip away at his health, and some shields for backup could be a good idea.
Players should be sure to clear the boss room of any hostiles, and to keep behind cover. The boss room is quite large, so feel free to mantle to different floors and take him out from above. Once players have defeated Doombot, he will explode (which causes no damage to players), and release his loot:
- Fizzberry Bottle
- Doombot's Siphon Medallion
- Doctor Doom's Monarch Pistol
- Doctor Doom's Arcane Gauntlets
Doombot's Siphon Medallion
You gain Siphon on eliminations.
One of the best rewards for defeating the Doombot is the Siphon Medallion. Claiming this from him is a must, and players will truly feel like a god as they run around hunting enemies with little drawback to their evil schemes. For those asking what Siphon is, it can be explained rather simply. Siphon is activated when players eliminate downed players, and it transfers health from the victim into the shooter. This means that players can effectively keep their health and shields simply by eliminating enemy players, instead of leaving them on the floor to be picked up or as bait.
Doctor Doom's Monarch Pistol Stats
Automatic Pistol. Very effective at close range.
Pistols have always had a unique layer of fun in the loot pool, but it seems that Doctor Doom's Monarch Pistol is one that could change the game. It's fast-firing, hits hard in the body and the face, and has a red-eye sight that allows players better accuracy when they aren't using it for its preferred close-range capabilities. Every hit is going to hurt from this weapon, and the stats prove it:

Doctor Doom's Arcane Gauntlets Stats
Fire arcane blasts from your fingertips or concentrate your energy into a mystical bomb to devastate your enemies.
Much like Doctor Doom's Monarch Pistol, the Arcane Gauntlets are a one-of-a-kind Mythic that can be acquired nowhere else in-game other than from a boss drop from the Doombot. Once picked up, the Arcane Gauntlets can be used to harness great power. Players can hit their targets with arcane projectiles, which hit for 50 damage with the R2/RT/Left-Click function.
Fortnite: All Boss Locations in Chapter 5 Season 4
Marvel villains have infiltrated the Battle Royale island, and it's up to the Loopers of Fortnite to assemble in order to take out these tough bosses.
Players also have access to the Mystical Bomb attack with L2/LT/Right-Click, which hits with splash effects for 90 damage. Players do not need to worry about running out of ammo with the Arcane Gauntlets, for they have infinite ammo. However, the Mystical Bomb has a 12-second cooldown, and the Arcane Blasts can be fired 8 times before needing to charge back up.
