According to a popular Fortnite leaker, Epic Games may be collaborating with the anime Dragon Ball Daima in the near future. Fortnite is currently in the middle of Chapter 6 Season 2, which has given players the opportunity to engage in heists to break open vaults, claim loot, and purchase powerful weapons at one of the game's Black Markets.
Dragon Ball Daima is a popular anime that ran for 20 episodes and aired its finale on the anniversary of Akira Toriyama's passing. The story takes place after the events of the Majin Buu arc in Dragon Ball Z but before the start of Dragon Ball Super. After a villain uses the Dragon Balls to turn the main cast of characters into children, it's up to the heroes to travel to the Demon Realm in order to regain their adult forms. While the reception from fans was somewhat mixed, the anime did highlight the charm and humor the franchise has always been known for.
Fortnite Could Be Getting Another Mini-Season
A prominent Fortnite leaker believes that Chapter 6 Season 3 of the popular battle royale could end up being shorter than usual.
The prominent leaker ShiinaBR has claimed that Dragon Ball Daima could be crossing over with Fortnite in the near future. While this came as a surprise to some fans, Fortnite has collaborated with Dragon Ball Super in the past, bringing characters like Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, and more to the island. While those characters already exist within the popular battle royale, it wouldn't be unusual to see them added once more with new transformations unique to Dragon Ball Daima.
Dragon Ball Daima Might Be Coming to Fortnite
Many fans seem to be hung up on the fact that the main characters are children for the majority of Dragon Ball Daima, which could present some problems when trying to bring them over to the battle royale. Epic Games isn't known for including children in their popular title and bringing the characters to life could turn out to be an issue due to the hitbox assigned to every avatar. However, the main cast does turn back into adults near the end of Dragon Ball Daima, meaning Fortnite could use those designs for the crossover.
It's also rumored that Fortnite could be crossing over with Solo Leveling, another anime that has become quite popular. As with all rumors, gamers should take this information with a grain of salt. While some leaks do come true, it's always possible the developers could delay or cancel a project before it comes to fruition. With a variety of potential crossovers to look forward to and even more content on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
