  • A Fortnite fan suggests turning Festival instruments into Back Blings for more appeal.
  • The idea, inspired by existing guitar Back Blings, offers the potential for drums and generic instruments.
  • Epic Games may consider implementing this Festival instrument concept in a future Fortnite update, but nothing has been confirmed.

A Fortnite fan has shared their idea of turning Festival instruments into Back Blings to make them more appealing. Fortnite Festival introduced Jam Tracks and cosmetics for the various instruments in the game, but this small change could make a world of difference.

Fortnite is in the middle of Fortnitemares 2024, with Chapter 5 Season 4 coming to a close on November 2. While a return of Chapter 2 locations and items has been teased, it's currently unclear what's coming next for the game. Though LEGO Fortnite has been a wild success since its addition to the game, Fortnite Festival and Rocket Racing draw smaller numbers, with the latter no longer getting themed updates. Both LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival have received their own unique Battle Passes with progression tracks suiting the modes. One gamer has an idea to make the Festival instruments more appealing by allowing players to wear them as Back Bling.

Reddit user Sweet_Ad_7358 recently shared an image of their concept for Fortnite Festival instruments being used as Back Blings. The image shows five cosmetic instruments that can be purchased in the Item Shop or through Festival Passes on the backs of five different skins. The variety highlights how these instruments could be paired with skins that complement their aesthetic. The Reddit user was inspired to design this concept based on how many Fortnite Item Shop bundles include the Festival instruments. Characters like Spider-Woman and Peely have instruments themed around them which players may wish to use in Battle Royale, not just Festival.

This Idea Could Make Fortnite Festival Instruments Better

While Sweet_Ad_7358 has only shown their concept using guitars, keytars, a bass, and a microphone, it could be applied to drums as well. Because players can already equip guitar Back Blings like the Electric Shredder, the Six String, and Dark Six String, Epic Games already has the foundation for this idea. There are also guitars like The Fret Basher and Stringles as Harvesting Tools, which could be another potential implementation of the Fortnite Festival instruments besides drums. A generic instrument could also have edit styles that resemble the Festival instruments similar to the Skateboard Back Bling and its many iterations.

As Epic Games continues to update Fortnite, this Festival instrument concept could be introduced in a future patch. Fortnite still looks for new cosmetic options, with the latest tease being shoes that can be equipped to various skins. If implemented, this idea could inspire more players to purchase the Festival instruments than just players who play Jam Tracks in the Guitar Hero-like mode.
