Fortnite fans might feel confused the next time they log in, as a free cosmetic item will be added to their account even if they didn't complete the quests that were supposed to be required to unlock it. When Fortnite first came out, it was a much simpler game compared to what it is now. During the first chapter, players would get access to weekly and daily quests and, occasionally, some seasonal quests. However, nowadays, the game has grown considerably, and there are dozens of different types of tasks that players can complete in order to level up their Fortnite accounts faster or earn free cosmetics.

A while back, it was announced that the Arena game mode would cease to exist. When Fortnite confirmed the addition of Ranked Mode, Arena's replacement, fans were unsure of what to think. Unlike its predecessor, Ranked has seasons, just like Battle Royale, and it gives players the opportunity to unlock exclusive cosmetics that won't be accessible once the season ends.

In order to unlock Ranked cosmetic items, fans actually have to complete Ranked Urgent Quests, which are a season-long feat that require a great deal of effort and time. It's a reward meant to be given to the most dedicated players, which is why some were upset when Epic Games announced that it would be granting the Bonus Goal reward, the hardest to obtain, to everyone who logged in during Chapter 4 Season 4.

Fortnite players that meet this criteria will receive the Redmask Ranker back bling even if they've never started a Ranked match throughout the season. Gamers who are interested in acquiring this cosmetic item but have been away from the game for the past couple of months can still get it as long as they enter Fortnite before the end of Chapter 4 Season 4 on November 3.

Some fans were displeased to find out that everyone would get their hands on the cosmetic, as they worked hard to unlock it and enjoyed how exclusive it felt. Before Epic Games gave away the back bling for free, only those who completed all 35 Ranked Urgent Quests before the end of this Ranked season would be able to get it. On the bright side, the official Fortnite Status account mentioned that cosmetic items that show off Ranked mode progression will be available earlier on so that players can show off during gameplay.

Fortnite is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
