Fortnite and Star Wars are once again teaming up and providing fans with a fun event filled with three weeks of content. There have been Fortnite x Star Wars collabs in the past before, but this time around the event will be much more in-depth, and it even includes a Star Wars-themed mini-Battle Pass with tons of free rewards.
The event will be live until May 23 at 9 AM ET, and during this time, gamers will be able to enjoy several unique Star Wars gameplay features while playing Fortnite. This guide will focus on the new Star Wars Force abilities and show players exactly how they can use them.
Force Abilities
Gamers can now use the Force in Fortnite; they will be able to take advantage of them during combat and use powerful abilities against their enemies in-game.
Force abilities will allow players to sprinter faster, double jump, pull or push away enemies, and even lift and throw objects
How To Get Force Abilities
Many fans believed that if Fortnite were to add the Force to the game, perhaps it would be as some sort of Reality Augment, but Epic Games found another way to implement this new feature.
During previous Star Wars events, whenever a player picked up a Lightsaber, it could only be used as a melee weapon, but now different Force abilities are connected to a specific Lightsaber. There are three different Lightsabers in the game, and gamers must find them in order to acquire Force powers.
Not long into a match, a Lightsaber marker will appear on the player's map, and if they reach it they will be able to speak with a hologram of one of three notorious Star Wars characters. They can then ask to start Jedi training, which will then result in them being pulled into a Rift for a few seconds to be taught a new ability and given a Lightsaber.
The spawn location of the Star Wars Rifts are random, but the marker will be the same color as the Lightsaber the player will encounter inside
Jedi Training
Each ability is bound to its Lightsaber, and players can only use it if they equip it. Here are all three Lightsabers, each trainer, and the ability that they will grant:
|
