- The Holo-Back Back Bling in Fortnite now supports animated emoticons, adding more flair to character customizations.
- Fortnite's unique aesthetic and constant collaborations contribute to its global popularity and player appeal.
- The new Myths & Monsters update brings Mount Olympus and Underworld to Fortnite, along with thematic weapons.
Fortnite’s Holo-Back Back Bling has recently gotten an exciting new improvement as the rare purchasable item can now display animated emoticons. Previously, the Holo-Back only allowed Fortnite characters to show static emoticons on their backs.
There is no doubt that Fortnite is one of the most popular video games currently on the market. Fortnite has quickly become synonymous with the battle royale genre as its fast-paced gameplay combined with the intense structure-building action has captured the attention of many gamers worldwide. However, there is one other important factor that has played a crucial role in its widespread appeal - the game's vibrant and ever-changing aesthetic, coupled with a constant stream of creative collaborations. The cosmetic customization options found in Fortnite such as the player skins, emotes, and accessories are also appealing to players looking to express their individuality within the game.

Players can find 4 Olympian Bosses in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, and challenging them all in their specific POIs will grant powerful loot.
Animated Emoticons Can Now Be Equipped on the Holo-Back
One such accessory is the Holo-Back Back Bling, a stylish piece of equipment that can be worn on the back of the player’s character. First introduced in Fortnite’s Chapter 2: Season 4 back in September 2020, the item can occasionally be purchased with V-Bucks when it is available in the in-game Item Shop. The interesting thing about the Holo-Back is that it can display Fortnite emoticons. After a recent update, Fortnite’s more exciting animated emoticons can also be equipped on the Holo-Back.
Fortnite’s emoticons are usually used when a player decides to select them from the in-game emote wheel function. That being said, many Fortnite enthusiasts believe that emoticons are a waste of an emote slot, opting instead for a much more detailed and dynamic emote animation. The Holo-Back Back Bling was seen by many gamers as a useful solution that allowed them to use their collection of emoticons without making them feel like they were missing out on some of the more expressive Fortnite emotes. Prior to the Holo-Back being capable of displaying animated emoticons, players were limited to using the Dead Pixels Back Bling for that purpose. However, the caveat was that the Dead Pixels would only showcase them once the player had successfully eliminated an opponent.
While the Fortnite servers underwent extended maintenance recently in preparation for the much-anticipated release of Chapter 5, Season 2, players can now enjoy the new Myths & Monsters update properly. Fortnite’s latest Season brings Mount Olympus and the Underworld to the game, complete with the iconic Greek gods and new thematic weapons such as the electrifying Thunderbolt of Zeus.
