With the Item Shop constantly getting new items, passes coming out every couple of months, and packs and collabs always coming and going, at this point, Fortnite has thousands of cosmetics. Many players, especially those who have been around for a few years, have to use the locker filters to navigate through the cosmetics in order find something in particular, as they have gotten so full by now.
When Does the Fortnite Item Shop Change?
Here is everything players need to know about the rotation schedule of the Fortnite Item Shop.
Thankfully, there is a feature that can help manage overflowing lockers in Fortnite. With the archive feature, players can archive items that they don't use or no longer like. Thus, making it much easier for them to scroll through their locker and find a specific cosmetic.
How to Archive Items in Fortnite
Archiving an item in Fortnite will not delete it from the player's inventory, but it will apply filter that hides it. To archive an item in Fortnite, players have to find it in their locker, open the Options menu, and then select Archive Item.
At first an Archive symbol will appear next to it, but once players leave the section of the locker and return, it will no longer be there.
How to Unarchive Items in Fortnite
Since archived items are hidden away, players may find it difficult to get to them if they ever want to unarchive them. Players can check out the archived items in their Fortnite locker by applying the Archived filter in the Sort and Filter menu.
In this section, they will see all of them items that they've tucked away, and they can even unarchive them, which will make them visible once again when they scroll through their locker.
To unarchive an item, players have to select the Archive filter, open the Options menu, and select the Unarchive option. The video below explains the process of archiving and unarchiving an item in Fortnite:
