Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 introduced players to many mechanics that they had never seen before. One of the interesting things added this season is Elemental Chests, which can be searched for powerful loot.
Fortnite: Chapter 6 Season 2 Medallion Locations
Players can acquire unique abilities in Fortnite if they find these powerful Medallons - here's where they're located.
Elemental Chests play a crucial role in this season because they're one of the ways for players to obtain Void Masks and Boons in Fortnite. For gamers wondering where they can find these Elemental Chests on the map, here is what they need to know.
Where to Find Elemental Chests in Fortnite
Players can find Elemental Chests all over the Chapter 6 Season 1 map. While most POIs and named locations contain at least one Elemental Chest, some contain two or more of them so gamers can improve their chances of finding one there.
By far the best location to find Elemental Chest is undoubtedly Nightshift Forest, as there are a total of six Elemental Chests fans can find there. If players talk to the Bushranger NPC and give them a Sprite, they will be granted the key to the vault, which has two guaranteed Elemental Chest spawns.
Magic Mosses also comes quite close, as gamers can find a total of five Elemental Chests in the vicinity. Magic Mosses is also the location that contains a secret loot cave, where players will be able to find Slurp Barrels and a Typhoon Blade Stand as well.
That being said, going for the location with the most number of Elemental Chests might not be a great idea after all. Instead, players should focus on the ones that are present in locations that aren't as popular, as they will have much better odds of being successful. A pretty handy tactic to get Elemental Chests is to go for the ones located on the edge of the map, as other opponents are less likely to target those. There are quite several such Elemental Chests on the map such as the ones north of Demon's Dojo or in the southernmost end of the map.
