How Do Hot Air Balloons Work in Fortnite?

Hot air balloons can be seen floating all around the Battle Royale island in Fortnite. The air balloons continuously follow the same path, and players can ride them to easily travel from one stop to the next.

If gamers are close to the hot air balloons' route, they'll be able to easily spot them by looking up. Alternatively, they can simply open their map and take a look at where they are - each hot air balloon's icon will move as they do.

Hot air balloons have two containers for players to loot. So, even if players don't want to hop on for a ride, they're worth checking for goodies that they might have inside. Additionally, gamers can get on a balloon to easily get high ground over anyone they might fly over. However, they must be careful, as they only have 2,500 HP, so they can be shot down fairly quickly.
