Attack on Titan's Eren Jaeger is now in Fortnite after a long wait. Players that have purchased the Chapter 4 Season 2 Battle Pass can, at last, unlock this character for free as long as they complete enough of his in-game quests.
Cosmetic items weren't the only Attack on Titan content that was added to Fortnite. Gamers will be able to find ODM Gear and the explosive Thunder Spears on the battle royale map from now on.
How To Find ODM Gear in Fortnite
Players will have to find Omni-Directional Mobility Gear in order to complete Eren Jaeger's quests and receive his skins. Still, they might want to find it afterward as it is quite a useful tool to have in one's inventory through a match.
The ODM Gear item works very much like the now-vaulted Spider-Man Web-Shooters. With this item equipped, players will be able to swing from one place to another in no time. Arguably, this item might be even better, as it also allows players to attack and hover above their opponent.
In Fortnite, ODM Gear can be found as floor loot, inside regular chests, and inside Scout Regiment Footlockers. It has several controls; players can Grapple, Hover, and Attack with it. If the player holds down the Attack button, they will attack more than once.
While grappling, the player can safely drop down from any height; ODM Gear prevents fall damage.
Unlike the Spider-Man Web-Shooters, the ODM Gear doesn't have a number to count down how many times it can be used - it is based on how long it's used. There is an energy meter by its icon in the Hotbar, and once it's been fully depleted, the item will disappear from the player's inventory. On top of this, it can be used an infinitive amount of times in a row, but if the player touches the ground, it has a cooldown for how long it takes to recharge in order to be ready again - the more energy it depletes in a single use, the longer the cooldown.
How To Find Thunder Spears in Fortnite
Besides the ODM Gear's own attack, the Thunder Spears are the only weapon that players can use while grappling from one place to another with the ODM Gear.
The Thunder Spears can be found in the exact same places as ODM Gear, so as floor loot, inside regular chests, and inside Scout Regiment Footlockers.
