To get the De-Rezz De-Stroyer pickaxe in Fortnite, players have to complete one quest in its quest set. There are only two quests available:

  • Win 2 Reload matches
  • Earn account levels in any Fortnite experience (10)

This means that in order to get this pickaxe for free, players will either have to win two matches in the Reload game mode or they will have to level up 10 times, which requires them to accumulate 800,000 XP.

If players enjoy Reload and tend to win quite often, they shouldn't have much trouble getting two Victory Royales. However, if that is not the case, then their best option is to play various game modes and complete as many quests as they can in order to level up quickly in Fortnite.

The De-Rezz De-Stroyer pickaxe will be available for free until September 24, 2025. This is not an exclusive item, so if players miss out, they can buy it in the Item Shop at a later date. However, it is impossible to know when it will rotate into the shop and be obtainable again.
