How to Change Your Name in Fortnite

The username displayed in Fortnite is associated with your Epic Games Account. Players will need to ensure that their chosen gaming platform is associated with an Epic Games Account, which is done by accessing this link: EpicGames.com/Login. From here, players can sign in with their chosen platform to automatically connect an Epic Games Account and access the Account Settings.

Once players are signed into Epic Games, select the Settings tab, where, below the Account Information, players can access their Display Name. The Display Name can be changed by selecting the blue pencil icon, where they are free to enter their new username. The new Display Name cannot be one that's already in use by another player, but it can use unique symbols found on this website here via copy+paste: FortniteSymbols.com. Once players are satisfied with their new name, click Continue to confirm the change. Players will be able to change their Display Name every 2 weeks.
