Stumbling upon one of Fortnite's newest POIs, Brawler's Battleground, players will have the opportunity to challenge the Greek god of war, Ares. With such a tense fight, and a pretty cool design, players might want to know how to get Ares in Fortnite as a skin that they can wear, without having to battle the Olympian boss found in Chapter 5 Season 2 just to get a good look at him. Luckily, players can indeed get Ares in Fortnite, but it's not the way one might expect from a season all about Myths & Monsters.
Fortnite: How to Get the Mythic Warforged Assault Rifle
Challenge the God of War, Ares, for the chance to get some powerful loot in Fortnite's Chapter 5 Season 2, and turn the tides for the Victory Royale.
Chapter 5 Season 2's Battle Pass features all sorts of characters and gods from the Greek Mythology, but Ares is notably absent. Is he hiding from the threatening god of war, Kratos, or was he just taken out in favor of the secret skin, Korra? Speculation need not arise, for Ares is finally here on the Fortnite island for players to claim for themselves, but they won't need either levels or V-Bucks to make it happen this time.
How To Get Ares
An April 2024 Crew Pack Exclusive
To claim the Ares skin in Fortnite, players must purchase the April 2024 Crew Pack, which became available on March 31, 2024, at 7 PM ET. Any player who purchases a Fortnite Crew Subscription between March 1 and April 30 is eligible for the Ares skin, and it will automatically be gifted to their inventory when they next boot up the game, adding a new skin, pickaxe, and back bling to their locker. If players do not want to miss out on the god of war skin in Fortnite, then they must purchase the Fortnite Crew Subscription for $11.99 (USD). Players can immediately cancel their FN Subscription if they just want the skin, as their subscription will auto-renew each month.
Fortnite: How To Get Kratos Skin
Kratos unleashes his Spartan rage upon the Fortnite island, and here's everything the iconic God of War character comes with.
Ares will most likely leave the FN Crew on April 30, 2024, at 7 PM ET, so if players are interested in picking him up, it's best to do so sooner rather than later. It's also worth noting that Fortnite has stated since the Fortnite Crew was established, that FN Crew skins are not exclusive, unlike Battle Pass skins. Yet, as of April 2024, no Fortnite Crew skin has returned in any capacity, whether that's an Item Shop purchase with V-Bucks, real money, or even a quest. Considering the rarity of the Fortnite Crew skins, it might be best to grab it and expect a few bonuses thanks to the Fortnite Crew additions, which can make the monthly purchase worth more than just a new skin with some fresh cosmetics.
What Does The April 2024 Crew Pack Come With?
Players who have purchased the April 2024 Crew Pack, will receive Ares, along with a few bonuses for their support:
- Ares Outfit
- LEGO Ares Outfit
- Warrior's Cape Back Bling
- Immortal War Doru Pickaxe
- Current Fortnite Battle Pass
- 1,000 V-Bucks
- Premium Rocket Pass (in Rocket League)
- Warrior God's Legacy Styles (Unlock a new Legacy Style for every month you are an active Fortnite Crew subscriber)
Ares Legacy Styles
If players are Fortnite Crew subscribers across multiple months, and not just a one-off purchase, then they will be eligible for the Warrior God's Legacy Styles, providing players with a total of 6 completely unique styles for Ares to show off against friends and opponents in Battle Royale, Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival, and Save the World, but not for LEGO Ares. Each of these Legacy Styles can be found in the images above, with unlock requirements found below:
- War God's Legacy - Subscribe to the Crew for 1 additional month
- Auric Legacy - Subscribe to the Crew for 2 additional months
- Phase Legacy - Subscribe to the Crew for 3 additional months
- Rimebound Legacy - Subscribe to the Crew for 4 additional months
- Cosmic Legacy - Subscribe to the Crew for 5 additional months
These Super Styles for Ares look great, and perfectly fit alongside the other Greek Mythology characters introduced in the Myths & Monsters season. However, unlike the Battle Pass skins, these styles must be unlocked through real-life purchases, as players must be subscribed to the Fortnite Crew without canceling the subscription for 6 months, including the month of April when they first purchased the Ares skin.
