Many years ago, Fortnite did a surprise collab with Netflix to bring Stranger Things to the game. Whilst there have been many more in-depth collabs over the years for Fortnite to bring in some heavy-hitting crossover characters, Stranger Things was one of the earliest and one that seemingly came and went within a flash. Yet, with Fortnite OG, they have returned, and players can get their hands on not only Chief Hopper and the Demogorgon but the new addition of Eleven.
These Fortnite skins are great for fans of Stranger Things, or for those who just enjoy boasting a rare collection of skins that may or may not come back. Knowing how to get the Stranger Things skins in Fortnite is no simple task, for it’s truly a gamble, and a waiting game unless players are quick to purchase the Stranger Things skins in the Fortnite Item Shop.
Eleven
The telekinetic teen has left the Upside Down for the OG Fortnite Island thanks to this nostalgic season. Eleven is a highly requested character from the Stranger Things series, and she comes with three styles, and a few interesting items if players purchase her bundle.
The Stranger Things Bundle costs 2,500 V-Bucks, which gives them 6 items and saves them 600 V-Bucks in the process of buying them separately.
Eleven Outfit (1,500 V-Bucks)
Telekinetic teen who escaped Dr. Brenner and Hawkins National Laboratory.
Eleven’s outfit comes with a pretty groovy fashion sense for the ‘80s, with a snazzy shirt suspenders, and of course, jeans. Players will also receive the Waffle Extravaganza Back Bling for free with this skin. On the topic of the skin, players can also get a more horror-inspired look thanks to the other two styles which come with the Hawkins Lab style and the Hawkins Lab (Cap) style.
Hopper’s Cabin Diorama (400 V-Bucks)
Time to do or diorama.
As part of the Stranger Things set, players can also pick up the Hopper’s Cabin Diorama, which will have a wooden Hopper alongside a squirrel sitting outside a cabin. It’s fairly cute, but players can also access a more sinister look with the Upside Down style of this Back Bling.
Steve’s Bat Pickaxe (500 V-Bucks)
A Harrington monster-fighting original.
This might be a Pickaxe that players will want to claim due to its distinct style. The idea of a wooden baseball with nails embedded into it seems like a pretty brutal idea and one that would make for a fine addition to anyone’s collection.
Eddie’s Spear Pickaxe (500 V-Bucks)
Wielded by a true hero.
Eddie became a fan favorite character in the fourth season of Stranger Things, and what better way to honor him and his love of metal than with his makeshift spear, which features as a unique wielded Pickaxe?
Telekinetic Power Breakfast Emote (200 V-Bucks)
Power up with waffles.
To those who want to show their love of Eggos, or to those who just really like waffles, this emote is perfect for doing just that. Players will unlock telekinetic abilities, in which they can lift many waffles from their box, and show off a display of powers and smiles.
Chief Hopper Outfit (1,500 V-Bucks)
Hawkins PD’s finest.
Featuring as one of the very first Fortnite collabs that veterans might remember, the Chief Hopper outfit comes with the default variant and the Hat Style. Whilst originally seen in Chapter 1, Season 9, this skin has only returned once, and that was 4 years later with Fortnite OG. It’s a great skin for those who like small-town sheriffs investigating supernatural mysteries.
Demogorgon (1,200 V-Bucks)
Turn the battle upside down.
Whilst Fortnite mares may be over, and the Halloween season lies dormant until next year, the Demogorgon is still a great skin to use all year round. For Chapter 1, Season 9, it was one of the most unique skins on the field, and even now after all the other Fortnite collabs, it remains as such. Players might want to pick this one up before it goes for good, if it does in fact, go for good.
When Will The Stranger Things Skins Come Back To Fortnite?
Mysteriously, Netflix decided to take away the Stranger Things collabs they did with other games. Not only did Fortnite lose access to the skins for the Item Shop, but so did Dead by Daylight with their Stranger Things DLC. It was a surprising move, but hopefully, one that has ended, as both Fortnite and Dead by Daylight have brought back their Stranger Things crossover skins and characters, as of November 6, 2023.
In a surprise reveal, November 6, 2023, saw the return of Chief Hopper and the Demogorgon after 1,461 days since their last appearance in the Fortnite Item Shop. That was an entire 4-year span without these skins ever featuring again, until now. Hopper and the Demogorgon arrived with the new addition of Eleven, all available for a limited time on November 6, 2023. With these skins now rotated out of the Item Shop, it’s anyone's guess as to when or if they will ever return, as many fans have waited years to see God of War’s Kratos back in the Item Shop, but to no avail.
