Fortnite Hunters has marked its debut, overhauling the game once again with a plethora of content updates. From battling demons to getting a hold of mystical Oni Masks, there is a lot to dive into when playing this mythical season. However, that's not all, as Fortnite has also received additional movement mechanics that players can use to their advantage.

Such movement techniques include Wall Kicks and Wall Scrambles, each providing unique ways to scale structures. On the other hand, if players are looking to boost their jump distance or mitigate fall damage, employing Ledge Jumps and Roll Lands will prove useful.

How to Ledge Jump in Fortnite

The Ledge Jump is likely a move that players may have performed accidentally during their initial playthroughs and is an overall useful addition to Fortnite. This move allows players to boost the distance of their jump, which can be great for jumping between buildings and other areas of height, along with crossing greater distances when fleeing or pushing opponents.

To trigger a Ledge Jump, players can do the following:

  1. Sprint towards the edge of a ledge, cliff, or other area of height.
  2. Press the jump button upon reaching the edge.

If done correctly, players will be sent further than they would if they performed just a regular sprint jump. Though this moveset is definitely unique, players should be careful with how they use it, as jumping from considerable heights will still yield fall damage even if they decide to Ledge Jump. However, the amount of fall damage can be mitigated with the next technique.

How To Roll Land in Fortnite

The Roll Land is another neat technique that players will want to utilize, especially those prone to jumping from heights. To Roll Land, players simply need to j ump or fall from height and hold the Jump Button to perform it upon landing. Doing so will trigger a Roll Land, which offers the neat benefit of reducing fall damage whilst simultaneously granting players back some stamina.

The Roll Land works pretty well in combination with the Ledge Jump, allowing players to leap much further whilst mitigating any increased fall damage they might have taken without it.

Wall Kick and Scramble Kickstart Quests in Fortnite

On top of simply being useful mechanics, both the Roll Land and the Ledge Jump are also a part of the Kickstart Quests for Season 1, with each quest granting players a total of 15,000 XP upon completion — great for gaining a few levels.
