Auto-Fire is quickly becoming the must-have setting for Battle Royale players in Fortnite, as it allows players to essentially let the game shoot for them, and all players need to do is aim and keep their reticle focused on the enemy. With Chapter 6 Season 2 featuring no bullet drop and pure hitscan weapons, this setting can easily make auto-eliminating enemies all the easier.

With these settings enabled, players will have a far easier time shooting targets accurately in Battle Royale, and below, is an explanation of how this works.

How Does Auto-Fire Work in Fortnite?

barons Double Down Pistol

By enabling the Combat settings for Scope, Aiming, Firing, players will take control of the fire triggers when a target is within range. All players need to do is aim at the player that they wish to shoot, and the game will register the target in front of them and will always fire, providing machine reflexes to fire far quicker and accurate than a real player ever could.

This controller setting for Auto-Fire is essentially aimbot, but completely valid and fair to use as it's the settings that Epic Games and Fortnite allows. With Auto-Fire active, players will be reliant purely on the game to fire for them, but that provides a far faster response and accurate target, meaning players are going to hit harder and further shots, so long as they keep the reticle aimed at the target.
