While other games are certainly trying desperately to follow in its footsteps, Fortnite is still the king of pop-culture collaboration in the gaming world. From popular franchises like Star Wars, DC, and Marvel, to gigantic brands like LEGO, to musical artists like Metallica, Fortnite's crossovers know no limitations. No crossover is off the cards in Fortnite, and that now seems to extend to beloved Pixar characters.

Debuting in 2004, The Incredibles is arguably one of the best Pixar movies of all time, delivering a thrilling superhero adventure with plenty of trademark Pixar heart at its core. A month ago, during Disney's D23 Expo, developer Epic Games announced that three Incredibles characters were coming to Fortnite soon. That day has finally arrived.

LEGO Fortnite is finally getting split screen, but it may be too late to change the industry's course away from local multiplayer.

Fortnite's Incredibles Crossover Explained

Everything Included in Fortnite's Incredibles Bundle

Pixar's Incredibles have come to Fortnite, and they'll be available in the game's Item Shop until October 7. Eager fans can purchase a bundle of every Incredibles-themed Fortnite item that will set them back 3,500 V-Bucks. This bundle includes the following:

  • Mr. Incredible Outfit and LEGO style
  • Mrs. Incredible Outfit and LEGO style
  • Frozone Outfit and LEGO style
  • Omni-Head Back Bling
  • Drill-Bit Souvenir Back Bling
  • Frozone's Shield Back Bling
  • Frozone's Shield Pickaxe
  • Drill-Bit Destroyer Pickaxe
  • Omni-Claw Pickaxe
  • Frozone's Stunt Emote
  • Lil' Battle Robot Emote

For 3,500 V-Bucks, players are essentially getting three Incredibles-themed skins and their LEGO minifigure versions, three Back Blings, three Pickaxes, and two emotes. Alternatively, players can purchase each Incredibles hero in their own separate bundle that gives fans their regular skin, its LEGO version, and a Back Bling. These individual hero bundles cost 1,500 V-Bucks each and will also leave the Fortnite Item Shop on October 7.

Fortnite's Incredibles Crossover Is Opening The Floodgates

fortnite disney villains 2-1

Fortnite has dipped its toes into Disney's waters many times over the last seven years. One of the first major collaborations in Fortnite was an Avengers: Infinity War event that saw players briefly become the Mad Titan Thanos. Since then, Marvel has remained a consistent source for Fortnite collab skins and events, with two entire seasons of the game being themed around the comic book franchise.

Star Wars has also appeared frequently in Fortnite over the last few years, with characters from across the franchise's long history appearing in the game as outfits. A handful of other Disney-related skins have also found their way over to Fortnite recently, such as last year's Jack Skellington Nightmare Before Christmas skin that was released as part of the Fortnitemares Halloween event, and the much more recent Pirates of the Caribbean bundle that appeared back in July.

But with the recent release of Fortnite's Incredibles crossover, it seems likely the floodgates have been opened for future Pixar collaborations. Though nothing has been officially confirmed just yet, fans could see more Pixar-themed outfits in Fortnite in the near future, possibly from franchises like Monsters Inc. And Toy Story. This seems even more likely given that Disney announced back in February that it was investing $1.5 billion into Epic Games to build an "entertainment universe" connected to Fortnite.

It's already been confirmed that classic Disney villains like Maleficent, Captain Hook, and Cruella de Vil are coming to Fortnite before the end of the year, and fans will probably be seeing a lot more from Disney and Pixar in Fortnite soon.
