Fortnite has a rumored collaboration with King of the Hill in the works, and it could prove to be fruitful. Given Fortnite's long history of collaborations, another franchise entering the Battle Royale is nothing new. However, King of the Hill is fairly unique compared to past crossover franchises. It's not a series that has a lot of action, and despite being an animated series, it's not particularly wacky. That doesn't mean that it lacks content to bring to Fortnite. On the contrary, King of the Hill would have plenty to offer upon officially joining Fortnite's ranks.
After players saw Fortnite's Rick and Morty crossover, it's no surprise that other animated series aimed at adults would eventually find their way into the game. Indeed, Futurama and Family Guy have both seen characters added to Fortnite in the years since. King of the Hill would be the next cartoon to follow that trend if rumors are true. The show follows the Hill family and their friends as they go about their lives in the fictional town of Arlen, Texas. The show's low-key yet entertaining adventures helped it stand out among Fox's other animated offerings, and its impending reboot justifies a Fortnite collaboration.
Fortnite's Biggest Possible Event Could Open a Forbidden Door
Fortnite's collaborations and events have continued to get bigger and bolder, and one unexplored route could be groundbreaking.
Fortnite Crossing Over With King of the Hill Offers Plenty of Fun Opportunities
King of the Hill Could Provide Fortnite With Several Skins
The most obvious result of a King of the Hill Fortnite crossover would be adding Hank Hill himself as a skin. After all, he is the show's main character. However, there are other characters worthy of the honor as well. Hank's friends Dale, Bill, and Boomhauer are excellent options thanks to their relevance and antics, but they aren't the only ones. Peggy Hill is not only a main character, she has one of the most fiery personalities in the show. The reboot could even make the adult Bobby viable as well. King of the Hill has a lot of potential skin ideas.
Since past cartoon crossovers led to several skins apiece, it only makes sense for King of the Hill to also have multiple representatives.
Fortnite's Lockers Could Include Plenty of King of the Hill Gear
King of the Hill has more ways to fill a player's locker in Fortnite than just skins. Hank's truck and Dale's Bug-a-Bago are prime options for gliders as well as potential vehicle skins now that the latter option exists. Outside of vehicles, a giant Mega Lo Mart ad could also work as a glider. Back bling offers options like a propane tank, Strickland's logo, or Luanne's Manger Babies puppets. In terms of combat, a harvesting tool based on Hank's nine iron or even Dale's pocket sand as a temporary weapon could work. King of the Hill's depth for additions to Fortnite's wardrobe shouldn't be underestimated.
King of the Hill Has Potential to Create Iconic Emotes
Despite its grounded nature, King of the Hill has a wealth of potential emotes worth seeing in Fortnite. Hank's signature cry of "Bwaaaaaaah!" Is an easy contender due to how recognizable it is. A grilling emote would also be a perfect fit, considering that it's one of Hank's favorite pastimes. Stepping away from Hank, the Billdozer growl would also be a good option, especially since it recalls a few cool moments from the show. But the best emote that could come out of King of the Hill would be a group emote that recreates the iconic "Yep" sequence from Hank and the guys.
If it does make an appearance, King of the Hill would be a fantastic addition to Fortnite's long history of crossovers. The Hill family and their friends haven't seen anything as wild as the world of Fortnite, but they would be more than suited to add a bit of extra personality to the already-colorful game. The only detail that would be virtually guaranteed from such a crossover would be Hank himself, but King of the Hill coming to Fortnite could prove remarkably fruitful.
