Fortnite OG was introduced in December 2024 and gave players the opportunity to relive the early days of the popular battle royale. While Fortnite OG launched with an impressive amount of players, it's possible that it hasn't maintained a consistent player base in ranked matches. In fact, Epic Games recently did away with Fortnite OG Zero Build's ranked mode due to "matchmaking health." It's possible something similar could be happening again.

Epic Games May Be Removing Fortnite OG’s Ranked Mode

Epic Games recently teased the theme for Chapter 6 Season 3 of Fortnite, which may involve bringing new superheroes to the game. According to leakers, the upcoming season may focus on original superhero concepts, as a recent survey featured numerous original designs that could be added to the game in the near future. Fortnite's current Galactic Battle season is scheduled to end on June 7 at 2 PM ET after the Death Star Sabotage live event.

While it seems as if the upcoming season may feature original superhero concepts, it was recently leaked that Fortnite could be crossing over with the upcoming Superman film. According to leakers, players may even have the ability to become Superman himself in the middle of a match, which could function similarly to the way gamers were able to become Godzilla in Chapter 6 Season 1. As with all leaks, this information should be taken with a grain of salt until an official announcement is made by Epic Games. With so much content to enjoy and even more on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
